Key Platform for Social Posting

2018-09-06

It's my mainstay posting app, and I've tried a number of others, including Buffer, SocialBee, Coschedule. For the price, I keep coming back to Hootsuite.

Pros

I've been using Hootsuite for at least 5 years, and it remains overall my go-to social posting platform. While it is not the most intuitive UI, it works well as an editorial calendar/scheduler and is perfect for the kind of posting I do to FB, LI and G+

Cons

Setting up social accounts has always been confusing to me, and I still don't quite know if my accounts are considered my "personal" accounts, or "team" accounts in Hootsuite. This is an understandable feature for teams, but it seems to make it more difficult for me working solo.

Easy-to-use, great customer support but missing some features

2015-12-07

I used CoSchedule in my previous company and then brought it to my current one. It's a nice tool that gives you a quick overview of your content calendar. You can add predefined tasks to the calendar, which automates the editorial process somewhat. It's also very useful for having an overview of how many scheduled social media posts you have for specific articles. I've only had good experience with the customer support team_always very quick to respond and they seem to action feedback pretty quickly.

Pros

- easy-to-use - nice calendar feature - easy social media scheduling - great drag and drop functionality

Cons

- lacks integration with Hootsuite (integrates with Buffer) - the commenting feature isn't very good (it would be good to be able to @mention people, and collaborate more within the article planning panel)

Mediocre Content Calendar

2018-07-10

It allowed us to create a content calendar and solidify our content marketing workflow.

Pros

It is nice to have an online editorial calendar, where every team member can see the calendar and their responsibilities in one place. The tasks feature makes it very easy to manage our content from conception to completion. I also liked that I could save sets of tasks that we used often, so I saved time when creating new content projects and assigning them out.

Cons

We would rather use HootSuite or SproutSocial.

Great Social Media Marketing Tool

2016-09-29

Initially, I used the 14-day free trial, it was great but I kept wondering whether it was worth paying for seeing as I could use Hootsuite + other editorial calendars to plan my post.

Pros

*Affordable *Efficient: the social media campaign/queue is the best I've seen *Headline analyzer: Most social media marketing and content marketing tools do not come inbuilt with a headline analyzer to help you choose the best headline for your post. *Collaboration tools

Cons

I found out that scheduling blog post from coschedule doesn't work, I'll have to schedule it directly from WordPress to work, I realized that when I made a post and scheduled it to go out after a couple hours, only to find it saying "draft" in WordPress and "schedule" in coschedule.

Recommendations to others considering CoSchedule

It's great, Before using this, I tried Nelio content with buffer, but it was stressful with limited functionality. Nelio Content free plan left a lot to be desired with no social queue function. You can start with the 14-day free trial and ask for an extension if it's not enough to make up your mind. You will love the social campaign and social queue function as it is simple and allow you to make social media posts from your blog posts or from the scratch.
