Easy email and marketing automation

2018-06-06

Pros

MailChimp is the marketing automation for dummies, and that's a compliment. Honestly, though, it takes very little learning, and their support team is responsive and quite helpful.

Cons

It does not have the reporting that other tools such as Autopilot (which is less intuitive), which allows to manage the process from beginning to end and control what is happening by each step.

Definitely a useful tool in small business. It can take the place of one to two employees easily.

2018-07-26

Definitely had an influx of warm leads from this software. And its ability to give me analytical data on how long the recipient stayed on the page where they clicked anything and other such information was incredibly useful in implementing design changes which ultimately increased are number of successful contact attempts.

Pros

I also like that once everything was set it really could be just left alone and somewhat on autopilot.

Cons

What I didn't like about the software was from time to time I noticed that when I had people wishing to be removed from our marketing lists the process of their removal wasn't so seamless. Having to manually find them and reupload the list because from time to time it would include them again and it only takes one customer freaking out about being contacted again to have a issue in the future. Certain businesses or sectors of employment only have to have one employee complain to have a whole business blocked from correspondence even if that business is approved to reach out to them. I haven't used this program in a while because of this and it might be fixed right now. Let me restate that I actually still use the program but not in the same way because of the aforementioned issues.

MailChimp is a great tool for small businesses!

2017-12-05

Using MailChimp has allowed me to automate most of the administrative work that goes with my nutrition coaching business. It has definitely been a time saver!

Pros

Using Mailchimp, I'm able to schedule out the entire client map fairly easily so I can put those "touches" on autopilot so that my time is spent more on the coaching side of my business instead of the administrative end.

Cons

The process of scheduling the campaigns is a bit cumbersome. I'd like for it to be more streamlined - perhaps the ability to set defaults as to sender or subject line instead of having to type them for each client. But, again, I am utilizing this software in a manner in which I'm sure it wasn't created to be used.

Top Marks For Customer Service

2017-03-21

Pros

I'm a visual person and I really enjoy seeing the blueprint of my email automation journey laid out in the format offered by Autopilot, They also demonstrate the incredible capability of their platform by using features to offer an incredible customer service experience. They saw I was searching their knowledge base, reached out to me as a courtesy, and answered a question I couldn't find the answer to. That saved me a lot of time.

Cons

It's fairly new, so it doesn't have all the plugins and features that more mature platforms like Mailchimp offer.

We used Autopilot for sending emails and managing our database and found it user-friendly.

2018-06-20

Pros

Setting up email journeys has never been easier than with Autopilot. It's really easy to visualize and customize email actions based on the recipient's actions.

Cons

This is why we eventually switched to Mailchimp because we needed it to work with a number of different softwares.

Lead Nurturing Finally More Visual with Autopilot

2018-07-26

Pros

I really like the canvas that you can lay out the shapes and organize and plan lead nurture sequences. In my experience with lead nurture campaigns in other software, it is usually complicated with drop-down menus, hard to find email templates, etc. With Autopilot and the canvas structure, it is much easier for me to see what sequence I have set up and the timing of it all.

Cons

We have had issues with MailChimp at times and wish Autopilot offered an RSS feed feature we could use as an alternative.

Great modern automation tool

2016-03-25

I've used others before, including Infusionsoft, MailChimp, and Intercom - Autopilot is a great product, with an attractive price point, that offers just the right amount of features, in my opinion.

Pros

Great journey design interface. Bi-directional Salesforce sync. Better-than-most API exposure.

Cons

UI navigation can be a bit burdensome - it would be nice to be able to quickly launch new screens in new tabs (Alt+click doesn't work). Also, additional triggers would be useful, such as time-based (before an event)

Great for automating Marketing requirements

2019-04-17

Very good. Customer service is incredible, so I feel like any issues or objectives I want to hit are fully supported by the team. I hope this only improves as they grow and doesn't become watered down.

Pros

You can plan multiple campaigns visually and then share the boards (completed with annotations) with the client. This means everyone is on the same page and understands how the campaign will proceed. The customer support is also second to none - really good. It's also very visual - as someone who gets easily distracted and bored easily, being able to visualise campaigns in a physical way really helps.

Cons

The reporting in the email side of things could be better. Mailchimp, for example, provides decent reporting with easy actions (like automatic re-send to non-openers' - AP requires you do smart segmenting (which is actually better in the long term), but the mental journey to sort this out would be impossible without the customer support (so it isn't an issue).

Marketing Automation on Steroids

2018-03-21

Pros

Autopilot is a marketers dream tool. You can create a 'journey' for almost any task, from sending out an email newsletter to creating an advanced nurture journey based on segmentation, rules, lead owners, default and custom fields, website actions and much, much more. If you use tools such as Salesforce and Segment then you can get even more out of the tool with less work, but I personally don't use either and I still get a huge ROI on the product. They also just updated the email building tool which was a very welcome update.

Cons

I would also like to see an end-user subscription management feature added so that I can fully move away from other email tools (i.e. MailChimp) whilst being compliant with the likes of GDPR.
