Good Starter Mailing Software

2017-11-09

Pros

The ability to have 2,000 subscribers for free is a plus. They allow for quite a bit of emails on a free level as well.

Cons

Also, the analytics are not as good as competitors such as aWeber.

All the features I need and easy navigation!

2018-11-05

My overall experience with MailChimp has been great and once again I would use it again and again in the future if I have the option.

Pros

The features are easier to use than another email server I used before, AWeber. The navigation is much easier and the emails look better and more professional.

Cons

I cannot think of anything I don't like about MailChimp. Price drop would always be a plus, but I think it is fair.

Good ESP for starting out, but struggles when scaling or using in a larger business

2018-03-02

Simple ESP to help you email your subscribers you get via Sumo, Thrive Leads, OptinMonster, or other opt-in tools.

Pros

MailChimp has a beautiful interface and fun copy that stands out in a boring marketing among so many similar ESPs. Overall, their paid plans have some neat features like automatic time optimization and unopened resend. The features are rich for the price.

Cons

For example, the trigger-based actions for an automation you'd see in an AWeber.

MailChimp has been my main email marketing platform for the past 5+ years.

2018-07-04

I've used Aweber, Infusionsoft, and Intercom as well but MailChimp is my go-to service.

Pros

Mailchimp is easy-to-use, integrates with a lot of other platforms, and provides some powerful email marketing tools. The UI is simple and straightforward. Everything is easy to set up, from regular email campaigns to autoresponders.

Cons

You can't filter emails using multiple lists (like you can in Aweber -i.e. send to members of LIST A but exclude members of LIST B)

Easy to use and pretty simple to set up

2019-03-13

Pros

Feature wise, they were one of the earlier entrants into more comprehensive automation features and they left companies like Aweber in the dust.

Cons

If you're just using it for simple email list management, it's expensive. There are much cheaper alternatives if you're looking for a simple autoresponder. On the other hand, if don't really care that much about prices, MailChimp is super easy to set up and use.

A Bulk email service which simple deserve the title of "Best Bulk Email Service"

2018-10-02

Drip marketing is quite hard to implement, but competitors like aweber or convert kit are expensive as well.

Pros

Free emails upto 2000 subscribers. Handling list is super easy. Cant be made simpler than this. Sending the email and analytics is super interactive. Email composer is super easy. Practically No HTML coding required.

Cons

Quite expensive their paid version is. Drip Marketing concept is extremely hard to implement in Mailchimp.

I use MailChimp to send email blasts for my clients.

2018-06-07

I like looking at the other reviews, plus the gift cards are a plus.

Pros

I do not know is aweber or GetResponse has these capabilities.

Cons

Using MailChimp was not intuitive to me, as I am more used to GetResponse. I could not easily see how to setup a autoresponder series of messages or how to build a webform. It may have been there but I could not clearly see it. It would also be nice if MailChimp automatically cleaned your email list before you sent it, though if you use NeverBounce you can import your list directly from MailChimp to clean it. Again I was using the free version so this may be included in the paid version.

Outdated and needs improvement

2018-12-05

Pros

I like its simplicity and ease of use. I can't fault it for that and when you pair it with AW Pro Tools it actually works great. I don't think it's worth the money without it however.

Cons

It's still way better than mailchimp but it's too simple now in the evolving world of marketing.

Great software, good customer service, overpriced for the small biz owner

2018-06-21

Pros

I really like the freedom of unlimited emails and the plethora of integrations with other apps. AWeber has long been an industry leader and it shows.

Cons

For a small business owner with a small email list (under 1000) AWeber is overpriced. MailChimp and MailerLite offer virtually the same features, for free.

Awesome Email Marketing Software for Newbies

2018-05-22

Pros

Aweber is the first EMS I ever used. They offer an excellent service at reasonable rates with lots of great features. They also offer discounts if you pay quarterly or annually which is helpful if you hate monthly charges. It's pretty easy to import your list to Aweber, they offer phone, email and chat support, they have a wide variety of responsive email templates, list segmentation, some decent integrations and basic marketing automation.

Cons

I also think MailChimp and GetResponse provide superior reporting options.

Really bad platform

2018-07-15

I did not get many benefits and had a bad experience overall - i no longer care this happened months ago I am over it but since I am writing a review on software i have used, I would advise all honestly to stay away as my story seems far from unique and had other bad experiences which i don't have time to list - MailChimp is a pretty good alternative if you are checking out ESPs

Pros

It is relatively easy to use its not hard to figure out for most beginners and has basic templates and campaigns which should

Cons

I would recommend mailchimp as an option for basic users, i would advice all to stay away from Aweber

Email Marketing taken to a whole new level

2018-09-04

Aweber is a high end email marketing option. If you are serious about Email marketing, Aweber is a good place to start. I feel more professional and in control using Aweber for my blog subscriptions.

Pros

What I like most about Aweber the analytics that the application offers. Compared to other email marketing software in the market, Aweber offers the most specific options in terms of targeting people around the emails they get. For example, Aweber if you send out an email with a particular offer and someone opens it but doesn't click the offer, you are able to know this and decide on the next action to take to convince them to check out your offer. Another thing I like about Aweber is the fact the Customer support. They respond quickly and are very friendly and helpful - they know their staff.

Cons

Compared to Mailchimp, Aweber doesn't have very beautiful designs for your email.
