Hubspot review

2016-10-05

We compared Hubspot side by side with Pardot for marketing automation.

Pros

Social features were very compelling. It's killer product for SMB who wants to do wholistic marketing campaigns

Cons

For industrial b-b, this may be overkill. Also, its integraiton with SFDC is not as strong.

Lots of functionality

2018-10-04

Pros

Lots of functionality and gets the job done. I like the community and support that comes with hubspot but I admittedly don’t use those resources often.

Cons

I don’t find that hubspot is very I ntuitive or user friendly, but I’m also a long time pardot and mailchimp.

Seems to target B2C

2019-04-02

Pros

I liked the ability to build landing pages that were more flexible and easier to edit than in Pardot (the software we decided to use).

Cons

It was a little difficult to use, and I felt like a lot of the features around social, etc. were more targeted for B2C vs. B2B (which is what my company is).

Hubspot is more complex nowadays, but still the king of marketing automation

2017-11-07

It's a one stop show for marketing automation and typically one of the most affordable platforms to use on annual contracts (as opposed to Pardot and others).

Pros

There's very little negative to say about Hubspot. It's become a little trickier to use in recent years and less 'drag and drop', but if you understand WHY they made it that way, then it all starts to make sense and you realize that actually, with the advent of mobile site optimization, it had to adjust to this.

Cons

It has a decent learning curve, but soooo worth it. When you get started, sometimes you feel a little lost, and you still need to write a lot of content (or hire a writer) for this system to work for you.

Great bang for the buck

2016-11-03

While HubSpot may not offer some of the sex appeal and sophistication that Pardot or Marketo has, the value for the money can't be beat.

Once You've tried HubSpot, You dont need to try any other

2016-11-28

I have used a collection of CRMs and found HubSpot before finding Pardot and it does absolutley everything that we need it to do, there are very few areas for improvement (which are so minute they dont affect the function) HubSpot is by far superior

Pros

How it aligns Sales and Marketing

Cons

Using the app you cant go 'back'

Hubspot MA

2019-03-11

Overall experience has exceeded my expectations. Good value for the cost, and easy to use.

Pros

Cannot compare it to the Pardot/Marketo class of software but for the price I think the value is there.

Cons

I do not have any immediate complaints on the MA side. On the sales CRM side there are some areas that could be improved like built in calling (as opposed to integrations) but MA has been great.

Great Marketing Automation, Lacks SalesForce Integration

2018-09-23

Pros

HubSpot is a great marketing automation tool. Their blogging, SEO, and inbound best practices really are the best. They make it really easy to launch automation programs that are powerful and visually compelling.

Cons

There is a lot to be desired from the SalesForce integration, likely because SalesForce is trying to push more folks to their native tool, Pardot. This can be very frustrating if you have a sales team that operates within SalesForce.

Absolute best marketing automation platform available

2017-07-11

I mean, it's a killer marketing automation platform. You will see a rise in email traffic, but Hubspot also focuses on an overall rise in traffic to your website. It's more than just a marketing automation platform, really. It's a total inbound marketing solution.

Pros

-BEST workflow/drip program builder UI in the industry -Easy to using reporting Overall, out of the top 3 marketing automation solutions on the marketing (Pardot, and Marketo - I have used both), this is the best.

Cons

-It's social scheduling tool is actually really good, but it's not the best I've used, so there's that. -The CTA builder is .... clunky at best. In order to run CTAs on your website you better have a graphic designer who can make something pretty. You're also forced to use this builder to create any CTA buttons in emails, which means that you can't change the text on a button within an email itself.

HubSpot: For People Who Have Zero Mad Skills

2019-04-10

Against Pardot and Marketo, I choose HubSpot every time.

Pros

HubSpot is a wonderful marketing automation platform for people who, for example, don't have a developer at hand or someone with deep knowledge of how to use marketing automation tools. They have got an amazing and intuitive UI along with tutorials to get anyone, and I mean anyone up and running with an email campaign and landing page in the matter of point, click, drag, drop, launch.

Cons

Some of the off-the-shelf templates that are built in do not have as much flexibility as I would like.

Recommendations to others considering HubSpot Marketing

If you are just looking for a tool to do basic marketing stuff like email marketing, don't go for this. You can use cheaper alternatives like mailchimp etc. If you want to run integrated marketing campaigns, this is the best tool compared to Pardot and Marketo.
