Pros

Perhaps one of the main reasons I DO love it is that it is one of the only businesses out there staying true to its promises, even as it grows. I trust them and I trust their product.
Our whole team is so very grateful for Breeze. Their customer support is FAST and HELPFUL (and very friendly).
It was built for churches. It also had a great text to give feature and a wonderful event calendar feature that is easily and beautifully embedded on a website.

Pros

We love and enjoy nearly all of the products from them. They are so great to work with and they are always open for feedback and much of the growth and change has come from using its users opinions.
The People Module is the best. I love the ability to update the people/family information on the fly is great.
This is a great tool of scheduling volunteers and laying our the plan details. This is super helpful if we have a wide variety of things going on and its easy to list them all out here.

Cons

I can not think of anything that we dislike about the software.
I still have trouble navigating the system as they have their own language around organization tools.
We have yet to cancel it because we still need its check-in system for Children’s Ministry.

Cons

Additionally, the inability to get support personnel on the phone is a pain at times. Having to run support strictly through email can be a huge barrier and waste of time.
The user experience isn't conducive to those who have no tech experience and can be very confusing.
The one negative I have run into is it is not as customizable as other software I have used.

A great program!

I enjoy using Breeze and see no need to change programs. It meets all our needs.

Pros

Breeze was very easy to setup and it is very easy to use. We use it on a daily basis. The data base is easy to use, the kids are easy to check in, and the online giving section is a "breeze." I am not a tech guru, so I appreciate the ease of use and training others to use it is also easy.

Cons

There are some features we have not used yet, such as integrating Breeze with Planning Center and Mail Chimp. But, I can't really think of any major cons of this software. We are a small church and it suits our needs.

Fantastic, wonderful, and worth every cent we pay.

Pros

Breeze has been a fantastic company to work with over the last few years. Any time we have had an issue, they have bent over backwards to see a resolution, even having the coding team go back and fix an issue with an android phone I had. I cannot recommend this company enough!

Cons

If they somehow managed to secure a worship based planning ability, I think we would ditch everyone else.

Customizable CRM for many different needs

SUPER pleased.

Pros

Customization - we are a foster care resource center & finding a CRM that worked for us was challenging. Breeze made it, well, a breeze!

Cons

It's a "church management" software but we aren't a church. I would change the email reply that comes from "Breeze Church Management" as that's confusing to our clients.

We Love Breeze

We have hooked all our thermostats up to the calendar in breeze through the 3rd party extension to heat & cool our buildings more efficiently!

Pros

We love the ease of use. All staff feels comfortable running reports... scheduling rooms... accessing data. So different from our last software where 2 people were experts and all others had to go to them for the data they needed.

Cons

That the check in system doesn't work from any android device. That printer must be attached to a computer to work. We don't use it for name tags because we don't have computers that could be left in the learning center.

Easy to use and has many useful features

Breeze has been very useful for our church community. Among the things that have made our processes much simpler and more efficient: * computerized check in for kids and other events * online directory * surveys and forms, which allow for new people to fill out a form online * online giving, tracking and reporting * Planning Center and Mailchimp integration I would highly recommend this to every church community looking to streamline their processes. The price is much cheaper than the other software solutions. I found that this software is limited in its social media features. There isn't a forum/chat feature in Breeze but you can do mass emailings to different distribution lists. All in all, a great product with great service and very easy to use.

Pros

I like that it's very easy to use and to input the volunteers, email, and notify certain people about certain events. It's also good to use in keeping a database.

Cons

It could use more features on planning, scheduling, and also in coordinating different events. Check-ins are not as useful for our church or even for larger churches. It would be nice to be able to plan whole events down to the schedule of these events on Breeze.

An excellent way to keep our growing church small in all the right ways!

This is now the 2nd church that I have been instrumental in purchasing and integrating Breeze. Both churches experienced great improvements with regard to membership data and communication as a result of Breeze. Currently, we are not even using Breeze to its full potential (hoping to implement child check-in in the future). But what we are using is worth the investment.

Pros

Our church was beginning to grow and we needed a church management system that would help us stay small relationally. Breeze has been just that tool. It has helped us with our communication - both from our leadership to our members and from our members to one another. We were easily able to integrate Mailchimp (our weekly communication tool) with Breeze. The online / mobile directory has been a favorite for our members. We were also able to easily integrate online giving for the first time through Breeze. The system is both user-friendly for our staff and our members to use.

Cons

Breeze has done a really great job at listening to its customers. One of the items I would have placed under this category is actually in the process of being remedied because Breeze is listening to its users. They are coming our with a service planning feature later this year that will be really helpful.

Breeze was a new concept to us - a small company big on functionality. Having come from an expensive ChMS that we discovered was big on extras and extremely short on the basics, we had band-aided our ChMS needs over 5-6 vendors, ending up with 4 complete and another partial database! In three months, we have migrated three of our functional databases - texting, contributions, and check-ins - completely...

Ease of Use, breadth and depth of database

Cons

User permissions need more options with confidentiality items; ACH not available to pay for registrations except through outside vendor (PayPal, etc).

We continue to have a very positive experience. We are completely satisfied. We are excited about some of the new features which are in beta testing right now. We have referred several churches/non-profits to Breeze and we have purchased a second account to use with a county-wide service organization we are a part of.

Pros

Breeze ChMS is affordable. Designed for churches, it would also be appropriate for non-profits & small businesses. Keep individual profiles with plenty of options to customize. Email, text, export date, create electronic forms, electronic check-in, receive payments/contributions, and so much more all in one place. Cons

All the pros far outweigh the four cons for us; the text feature is outgoing only, the web link is pretty long (yourorgname.breezechms.com), photo files are not exportable except in directory form, and there is on one option for paying them - once monthly.

We use the Services app and love it. If you are starting fresh the other apps probably make sense, but there are too many features missing for us to switch. And it ends up costing medium to large churches pretty heavily.

Pros

You can house all of your information in one place and the services app is superb.

Cons

It seems that the ChMS part of it has alot of room to grow. The People app has some bugs and lacks the features of competitors.

Overall, for the price, this software is a fantastic solution for small to mid-size churches.

Pros

Planning Center is easy to set up and use as a basic ChMS. It has everything you need under one roof. They also provide fantastic support articles and videos.

Cons

There are nuances throughout the system that make it evident that we will need to switch to another platform once we grow to a particular size. Reporting is not always user friendly and we often find ourselves having to export large amounts of data and sort it ourselves in Excel to get what we want (especially in regards to Giving data). Additionally, the inability to get support personnel on the phone is a pain at times. Having to run support strictly through email can be a huge barrier and waste of time.

We have not had to struggle during implementation into varies departments. It has been a complete time saver and our leaders love using Planning Center, no complaints.

Pros

Ease of use for our worship team and scheduling volunteers. App is convenient and user friendly. Making connections is seamless.

Cons

We use CCB as our ChMS and we would love for an integration. Currently if a profile is created in Planning Center first, we have to manually enter into CCB as well.

Planning Center is a life saver for any music department. It literally changes how you plan by bringing your focus on the things that matter instead of all the admin work.

Pros

You can build a service in the program by adding teams, songs, media, lyrics, keys, stems. You name it, you can do it.

Cons

It takes a while to get everything uploaded and set up, but after that, it’s a breeze.

Great Company That Makes Incredible Apps

This product requires very little training to my staff and helps us do less admin work and more ministry work. Church is all about relationships, so when we don't have to spend as much time in a "system", we can focus more on those relationships.

Pros

Easy to jump in and learn. All apps have a free subscription level to test the app. This is such a great approach and allows new and existing churches to really "drive" the product before committing. Their support and documentation is by far the best of any CHMS.

Cons

This is necessarily bad, but the overall system is still pretty new, so they are still working to add more features and grasp how each app needs to communicate with another.

Overall we enjoyed the number of features provided, and hands-down is the best software for CCLI/SongSelect storage and planning. But there are other CHMS options that are cheaper and can work alongside PCO Services for a lower cost.

Pros

We loved having the amount of features that PCO (Planning Center Online) included. They provide various add-ons/modules to fit your needs and goals (e.g. check-in, events, people, services, etc.).

Cons

We didn't like the increase in cost as we added more people using PCO. I think the "rhyme behind the reason" is that a church would be able to afford paying more as the church grows in number. While this might be the case for other churches the price didn't seem to justify the features for us. Customer support is fast but it's hard to talk to a real person over the phone (email is their preferred support, but I would rather talk to a person personally).

Planning Center has made organization/administration of church volunteers a breeze!

Pros

I love the music organization side of PCO, with Services and Music Stand. The timing functions in Services allow us to stay on schedule. The People and Groups app lets us manage our members and track attendance. All products have worked extremely well.

Cons

Would like the ability to stream church services live through the Church Center app.

Planning Center is wonderful and we wouldn't be able to function as volunteer teams without it. As a worship band and production team, I love how we're able to provide a volunteer with everything they need to do their best - sheet music, MP3s, order of service, etc. - all at a glance.

Pros

Coordinating volunteers is a breeze with this software.

Cons

The mobile app is clunky sometimes and some of the menu items in the browser version are confusing - I spend a while trying to find what I need sometimes.

Church management software that scales with your organization

The overall experience with PCO is a good one. It is robust and continually has new, helpful features being added. It is a fantastic tool for tracking and managing people resources, donations, volunteers, and communication. I would highly recommend PCO for any church looking for a full featured ChMs without an oversized price tag.

Pros

Planning Center Online (PCO) is a scalable church or organizational software that adapts with your needs and provides great features that meet nearly all of the organizational needs. PCO offers event organization, people management, resource management, a donation platform, volunteer scheduling, and groups management. All this along with a solid communication platform and several third party integrations make PCO a powerful tool for any church or organization.

Cons

There are some features lacking such as built-in texting capabilities or whole-organization integration such as web site and app. The PCO app is not branded and lacks in features but most parts of PCO will integrate into other website platforms such as Wix.

Saves so much time!

I love this app and will continue to keep using it to its fullest potential. It makes our life at our church so much better using this!

Pros

We utilize the services app for managing peoples schedules and Sunday morning flow of service. It makes it a breeze and is such a huge help with saving time for scheduling and also planning ahead to know how to properly plan!

Cons

I love everything about planning center. It was such a breeze setting up all of the volunteers at our church. And now they love using the app as well!

Pros

Easy to use for musicians and volunteers, makes preparation a breeze

Cons

Not a big fan of the zoom feature for music stand

My favorite ChMS

Planning Center has helped our church get back to focusing on people. We used to focus on managing people and administrative tasks, but with the ease of use Planning Center offers, it's allowed us to get back to the people on a more personal level.

Pros

Planning center has many apps, all centered around a common database that serves as the backbone for the entire ecosystem. All the apps reference People, the database app, to add users and administrators to each app. Apps include: Groups: Create and manage small groups. Services: Create service line-ups, worship setlists, and manage volunteers for every team your church has all from one platform,...

Cons

There's so much flexibility with this ChMS that it's hard to know where to start. It's like trying to write a book, and you're staring at a blank page. You know you have something good to write, something worthwhile to say, but you don't know where to start because of the endless possibilities of starting an amazing new journey.

It gets the job done

I'm not sure what else is better so I've stuck with breeze for over a decade

Pros

It integrates with CCLI and Pro Presenter, Breeze etc. It can pull up songs easily and get them in the right keys. It organizes my song database

Cons

I feel like I could be doing so much more with it. It isn't very user friendly. The mobile app seems to have its limitations.

Planning Center is the control center for our worship services

Planning Center streamlines all of my colunteer coordination and media communication.

Pros

Planning Center allows for all of the files, references, and medial related to our services to be housed in one place.

Cons

As with any software, setup and integration takes time. This is more of a reality than a fault with planning center. Once content is in place future planning is a breeze!

Planning Center

Planning Center Makes Life Easier

My experience has been great. People seem to respond to it well and it has made planning events a breeze.

Pros

I like that it is very easy to use. It is visually attractive and easy to navigate. I constantly have to go check when people are scheduled for certain events and it makes life so easy for me. I love that it breaks everything down into categories that are easy to find. I also love that now the app is able to send text messages to scheduled people, and they can even accept the request that way.

Cons

The only thing I don't like about the software is the mobile app. It's a little bit harder to navigate because the back arrow takes you to the previous week, instead of back to the main menu. Also, sometimes the app acts up and won't let people accept or decline an invitation.

Great for Kid Check In

I love using planning center for kids check in. IT is easy and secure and makes check in a breeze.

Pros

I have been using planning center for about 8 years to check our kids in at church. It's so easy to use even my kids can help check themselves in. I love that it prints out a tag for pick up. It makes check in and pick up so easy and stress free.

Cons

I don't really have any negative thoughts about planning center.

Overall my experience with Planning Center has been a fantastic one, and I'm looking forward to using their current and new products in my church now and in the future!

Pros

Planning Center offers a fantastic suite of software that makes behind the sences tasks for church management a breeze.

Cons

The pricing for some of their products is a little higher than what can be found from the competitors, but it is almost always made up in their excellent customer service.

We love planning center and use it in our church on a weekly basis for our worship and audio/visual teams. It's a must have if you need to manage teams in your organization.

Pros

Easy to use, adaptable to different groups, helps keep everyone on the same page, makes scheduling a breeze, easily integrates with Pro Presenter

Cons

User limits for certain price points (same as most software), Have had issues with notification clearing after responding to meeting request.

PCO as full ChMS

We have been very pleased with a fully-integrated solution that is continually improving with a great support team at a price that saves us money!

Pros

When making the switch to PCO as our full ChMS I was concerned at first because there is no dedicated implementation process. However, I was amazed by how smoothly the implementation went. It is extremely intuitive and the support team is amazing. The online help is very useful, the support team responds quickly (I think their target is within 2 hours), and the Slack channel helps glean ideas from other users. We saved about $3,000 per year compared to our previous solution and have a better product.

Cons

PCO is not perfect. There is not a perfect solution. I don't think we've found any issues that we can't work around so far and I've really been impressed by the development team and the rolling out of improved features.
