Foundant for Grantmakers is an online grant lifecycle manager (GLM) system that serves a wide variety of funder organizations from corporate foundations and government organizations, to public charities and private or independent foundations. The platform was built to be user configurable, enabling organizations to control how the grant process workflow works. The solution is completely cloud based, meaning users can access the system via web browser at anytime and from anywhere.

Foundant GLM is designed to facilitate and streamline the grant application process, by providing applicants with all the tools they need to successfully manage their applications in one location. Upon login, applicants can view both past and current applications, their status, as well as any reports or follow-up documentation. All forms and stages have automated reminders including past due, assignment, and submission confirmations. When submitting a new application, the system displays all active grant programs and offers the ability to provide access codes for applications or grant programs that may not be public. The copy feature allows users to copy answers from previous applications, over to a new one. Foundant GLM allows transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other materials to be collected anonymously from outside sources.

Administrators can manage grant programs and scholarship funds from a centralized dashboard and review all applications that have been submitted. Through integration with GuideStar Foundation Center, users get access to the applicant’s profile to view their IRS standing, charity check information, a list of their past funders, and more. Administrators can add comments to applications, as well as send emails directly from the system using Foundant GLM’s customizable templates, or from scratch.

Reviews can be setup in several ways, including the side-by-side evaluation, and evaluation forms can be built with scoring questions, comments, file uploads, drop-downs, or a variety of question types. Reviewers can be setup in the system and granted specific access to data. Follow-up actions such as online grant agreements, grant reports, and other post-decision requirements can be assigned at anytime, and attached in the grant request for administrators and grantees along with due dates.
