Asset Tracking Database overview

What is Asset Tracking Database?

Asset Tracking Database is a computerized maintenance management system and calibration control application designed to manage calibrated equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, and miscellaneous assets within a quality management environment. The application supports compliance with ISO nine thousand one, AS nine thousand one hundred, ISO thirteen thousand four hundred eighty-five, IATF sixteen thousand nine hundred forty-nine, API Q one, and ISO fourteen thousand one standards by enforcing structured control over monitoring and measuring devices, maintenance activities, and measurement traceability requirements. This solution addresses the needs of organizations that require systematic management of calibration records, maintenance schedules, and asset lifecycle documentation within a paperless quality management framework.

The calibration control module enables recording of comprehensive calibration and validation histories for monitoring and measuring equipment and documenting the measurement values obtained during calibration events. The system generates recall reports that identify equipment due for recalibration and creates calibration certificates alongside detailed calibration analysis reports. Corrections for equipment found to be unfit for intended use are documented within the application to maintain traceability of corrective actions. The preventive maintenance module functions as a full maintenance management system and supports creation of maintenance schedules with defined checklists, tracking of unscheduled maintenance activities, and generation of work order tickets for maintenance tasks. All equipment and miscellaneous assets are maintained within a centralized repository that supports attachment of digital photographs, calibration certificates, and other electronic documents to asset records.

Asset Tracking Database offers a high degree of configurability through customizable asset fields such as asset name, description, serial number, purchase date, and location assignment. The system tracks asset movement between designated locations and provides comprehensive location history logs. Integration with barcode scanning devices facilitates rapid identification and streamlines inventory operations. Advanced search and filtering capabilities allow rapid retrieval of asset records while built in reporting tools deliver detailed analytics on asset utilization, performance metrics, and maintenance history. Role based user permissions ensure secure access control and support multiple user types within the application.

The application is built on a Microsoft Access platform and is compatible with Microsoft Access versions two thousand ten, two thousand thirteen, two thousand sixteen, and Office three thousand sixty five in both thirty two bit and sixty four bit configurations. The system operates on Microsoft Windows operating environments including Windows XP, Vista, Windows seven, eight, ten, or eleven and requires sixty four megabytes of random access memory and forty megabytes of available hard disk space. An environment using Microsoft Access Runtime may be employed for deployment in the absence of a full Access installation. An SQL based version is available to support concurrent multi user implementations and enhanced database performance. Flexible deployment options include local server installation or cloud based quality management solutions.
