Beamex CMX overview

What is Beamex CMX?

Beamex CMX is a calibration management tool that enables companies to assess and maintain fixed assets, avoiding equipment malfunction and non-compliance issues. It enables technicians to see calibration histories, trends, tolerances, internals, and uncertainty calculations, printing certificates for every test. They can develop procedures, schedule inspections, maintain calibrator databases, and adjust measurements or device frequency. Users can also optimize calibration intervals, monitor data integrity, and periodically track non-compliance with regulatory standards, like ISO 9001, GMP/ GAMP, FDA, and 21 CFR Part 11.

This on-premises AI-powered tool features a field communicator for HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, and Profibus protocols. It meets IML and HB44 standards, and it integrates with various solutions, including IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, SAP PM, and CMM tools. It also comes with a mobile application for Android and bMobile devices, enabling technicians to conduct remote inspections.

Key benefits of using Beamex CMX

- Create, manage, and store calibration data safely in an electronic database.
- Improve regulatory compliance (e.g. ISO 9001, FDA, GMP/ GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Get automated alerts and instructions for performing calibrations.
- Reduce the time required for calibration.
- Cut production downtime.
- Decrease the total cost of calibration.

Cons
“We have had instances where our whole team has been unable to access the database for days at a time due to version discrepancies and computer failures.”

Instrumentation Electrician

“Very hard to calibrate at zero when we use "calibration of read value. There will be a mistake in the calibration certificate.”

“Maybe the pressure switch setup can maybe look similar on the CMX software on the MC6 interface, this can be a little confusing. A small optimization point.”
