Shield overview

What is Shield?

Shield from KingsBridge is a web-based business continuity planning solution offering plans for companies of all sizes who wish to create disaster recovery and contingency plans for a range of potential threats, including power outages, natural disasters, cyber attacks, and more.

Shield includes over 250 pages of optimized content which users can adapt to suit their business needs. A default list of 36 teams is also included, with users able to add, delete, and rename teams to suit their company structure, as well as managing member roles, with options for Team Members, Team Leaders, and Alternate Team Leaders. Tasks can be assigned to team members, and users can track task progress centrally. Content permissions are based on teams as default, but users can adapt these as required, and an administrator permission level is available for users who require access to all information. Password management capabilities can also be utilized to ensure that Shield passwords adhere to company password requirements.

The integrated threat risk assessment (TRA) tool in Shield can be used to recognize threats which could have a negative effect on the business, and narrow down this list based on warning and potential impact. The business impact analysis tools can then identify which business processes may be impacted, the core tools which need to be recovered most urgently, and which critical functions could lead to a loss of customers if suspended. Document storage allows users to create a document library of plans and uploaded documents, such as network diagrams and end user license agreements. Shield also includes built-in emergency drills and suggestions for how businesses can test their continuity plans.
