Pros

Our company likes the ability to share content with the entire team no matter where anyone is in the world. Simple secure login from any computer and poof instant content for all to read & share.
Basecamp is a professional software, but I like its simplicity. It is very very nice to connect with.
I like this app because it is user friendly which is important but most important is the pricing.

Pros

Great transparency for team members & leader. Not only for projects but also great for day to day taks in a team of specialists - give a great overview on who is working on what.
Flow is great for organizing teams effectively, on a smaller scale. The cost is great for what you get.
It hardly requires any training (I jumped right in), has a beautiful interface and has plenty of features. My favorite is the "catch-up" feature, which helps me stay on top of my tasks.

Cons

I believe the roll out of this new website and way of tracking our progress was poor and has cause a lot of frustration, discouragement and even loss of membership for our older members.
At times it can get confusing and files seem to get lost in the shuffle.
You know how you have to have check your email and phone regularly. You can just add Basecamp to the list, but it's worse, because at least you get notified of emails.

Cons

Limited in what is available on mobile. Lots of small errors on the IOS mobile.
My biggest complaint with Flow is the refund policy---they SIMPLY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR MONEY.
The current new format is very confusing. The old format was more intuitive.

Fantastic. Great tool for organizing groups or departments.

Reviewed 6 years ago

Collaboration and increased work flow.

Pros

Ease of use. Simply could not be easier to create project teams and to keep staff within a dept. aware of what each other is working on. Adding more to someone's full work load is easy to do. Base camp helps clear the clutter and spread the load.

Cons

Certain functions can seem chunky at times. But most are things that are rarely used. Or perhaps we rarely use them because they are chunky.

It has been a great experience

Reviewed 6 years ago

Organization and work flow has been greatly improved.

Pros

The easy communication, and the ability to monitor everyone's responsibilities. Seeing the comments, names of contributors, and dates with each item.

Cons

I would like to see better organization on the overview page, to be able to not only organize by latest lists, comments, etc. but also by total comments, who has responded or is responsible. It would also be nice to have the search function provide suggestions and related content, in case the title or info isn't searched for verbatim.

Project management platform for 2+ years

Reviewed 6 years ago

organization of thoughts, flow of workspaces, and tons more!

Pros

How easy/streamlined it is to use and to see what all is coming up. I also love how you can communicate btwn those on your team, in both pings and thread conversations. It is super easy to keep track of projects that are coming up, and as far as start-up/launch goes, it is one of the easiest I've used to get moving with.

Cons

It *can* be slightly tedious to get into docs/files in each section rather in a full doc/files section, but that's just my 'preference'. Literally anything else is super user friendly and ready to go!

Asana has replaced Basecamp

Reviewed 8 years ago

I had used Basecamp for over 2 years on multiple projects. The ability to run multiple separated task flows is a great feature. 37 signals has great products and Basecamp is one of them. Unfortunately, Asana came into the game and it blew us away. We've switched to Asana because of the clean and easy to use interface.

Pros

Fairly easy to use, good pricing, the option of free version, good support

Cons

Not going with the flow, so many changes for the past year.

Pros

Basecamp UI is the hero in the game. It is really easy to use even for the first time. The software is not stuffed with 10s of flashy features. But it has everything it needed

Cons

The pricing, even it is reasonable, a little costlier for small ventures. It will be better if there is feature limited free version for small teams

Submitted project request to collaborate on a project within a large organization.

Reviewed 6 years ago

One projectI had needed to be presented to a graphics team to not only build the graphic but additionally be able to place it on a bag. Submitting the request was streamlined and very easy to use and the communication for clarification allowed for a quick turn around time to get my project in my hand and out to those who needed it to move the mission forward.

Pros

Basecamp is a smooth process allowing you to easily flow through all sections and reply to those that apply to your specific project. It allowed the opportunity to clarify the minute details and supply clarity in a structured platform. This eliminates much of the fuzziness regarding the goal of a specific project. Conversational chat within the platform also gave another layer of clarity. I liked that the communication was tied to the project and not lost in my email!

Cons

Although each PM or individual has a work flow, it is difficult to gauge the overall work flow for the team. Understanding where and what individuals are working on does benefit the team as a whole to navigate new and existing projects and timelines.

Flow

Clean, Efficient & Essential

Reviewed 7 years ago

We have a smaller company and was looking for a task management system that didn't feel too heavy for our needs. Flow allows you to choose how you want to manage projects without overloading you with half-useful features, unnecessary graphics or "clever" copy throughout (lookin' at you Basecamp). Software with "personality" wastes time, we just want to get our work done. Everybody uses Flow differently but that's the great thing, you make it yours. That's what we did and it just keeps getting better.

Pros

It's clean, simple to understand, customizable for your needs and they consistently make smart improvements without changing the focus of the product.

Cons

I'd like the ability to view recent attachments and links which have been posted all in one place. Like a "is this what you were looking for?" kind of feature.
