Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
How GetApp verifies reviews
GetApp carefully verified over 2 million reviews to bring you authentic software experiences from real users. Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

It has improved the quality of the code we produce thanks to its debugging and static analysis features. It has also facilitated collaboration among my team thanks to its integration with version control tools and its ability to share projects and configurations.
The best thing about Visual Studio is its wide range of integrated features and tools that make the software development process easier. From code debugging to project management and integration with version control tools, Visual Studio makes everything easier and more efficient.
The tool can be a bit cumbersome and slow on resource-constrained systems, which can affect productivity. Also, some of its features can be a bit complicated to understand and use for those who are new to the platform.

It is nice for building apps, debugging, and testing. I've used it for years and watched it evolve into a great product. I love all the features, the nuget packages and the options that allow for various types of projects. It also ties into azure dev ops and Git. Great product with easy usability.
I love the intelisense. I also love that there are plugins you can use like resharper. The tools make development so much faster and easer than it was 20 years ago.
I do not love when I lose my account connection and I have to sign in again because it says my software license is not valid, but that usually is only every few weeks. And everything is tied to a specific email address.
