This product made it easy to set up employees with their proper deductions, tax payments and keeping track of your quarterly payments to the government.
There was nothing that I can was bad with the product. It was always up to date with the property deductions and customer service was great when needed.

I have used this product while i was working with US based client. They have norms per state and this product really helped me to run payroll easily for consultants who were located in different states and they had their different norms. One of the most easiest products which could help a company to easily run their payrolls.
Cons as such i don't remember but yeah sometimes, the system used to crash due to high end task on the task manager.

Overall, the experience has been neutral. I do have a good payroll account manager. However, Paychex does promote these positions very rapidly. It seems like any time I am assigned a knowledgeable payroll account manager, they are promoted. This leads me to have concerns regarding the consistency of reliable customer support.
I like the general ease of use that this software offers. I have had favorable experiences with my current payroll account manager.
There are often times glitches that can cause issues with payroll deductions. It is crucial to double and triple check your PRINTED COPY prior to submitting each payroll.

They are great when it comes to the enrollment process for benefits.
Also horrible with paying people on time and providing property tax information. People in our team were constantly having issues with pay and pay increases. They also tax out benefits in a way that isn’t how it is supposed to be done.

Email notifications for time off and other functions. Security with multifactor authentication and ability to recognize primary computer used for this application.
As a new manager, I found it a little cumbersome to switch from my employee(s) I manage to just my account but hopefully future enhancements will make this easier.

It has been a good experience overall. The payroll account manager I have is efficient. But Paychex does seek to elevate these positions quickly. Every time I get a payroll account manager who is knowledgeable, they always get promoted, it seems. My concerns about the reliability of customer service are raised as a result of this.
The ability to use the phone application makes it incredibly handy to get information and even manage payroll from any location. You may track the non-exempt employees' hours with the addition Stratus time, which integrates with your payroll software. Without a doubt, it is a big relief to be able to be in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws thanks to access to a comprehensive database from a company that has been doing it for decades.
Certain benefits, which would be useful if you knew what you wanted, cannot be manually set up. We are presently ironing out some problems with a PTO benefit that WE have. Upon entering the dashboard, Paychex Flex requests a fresh verification code. Depending on the administrative access required to do such an activity, users identified in the Paychex Flex may not be erased. Employees might not be able to update time cards electronically because Paychex Flex might only give administrators their usernames and passwords. The administrator is able to make time card adjustments with Paychex Flex. The administrator is able to make payroll modifications using Paychex Flex.

Do not recommend.
Absolutely nothing. This company is an embarrassment.
They took $711,000 out of our companies bank account without approval. Has refused to return any of our phone calls or emails. Our rep is worthless and so is her manager.

I honestly can't recall anything that was smooth or effective with this company.
They would mess up our payroll constantly. Sending in the data to run payroll was a pain and not secure. Contacting support was hit or miss and my account manager changed almost monthly.

Poor, either it didnt have all the features for a company of our size or it was never implemented by our payroll team. I assume its the first as our subsequent systems have all hard PTO and time tracking integrated.
This software is a poor mans ADP. It was most useful as a time clock for our deployment
Software struggled with punches, PTO and reporting. As a manager of a large team it was very difficult to track PTO or who was scheduled to be out with out the use of another product.

Typical clock in/out and benefit tracking.
Very easy to view clocked in users, people on break, etc. As a manager it is easy to view and approve hours. It allows for a convienant way for staff to access paystubs and documentation.
Employees often have trouble with the site when punching in/out - the easiest to access option are buttons that move, and as a result it is easy to click the wrong button! Way more time clock corrections that we used to get. It is very difficult for staff to tell how much vacation time they have remiaining, they constantly have to ask for confirmation - very frustrating. It isn't always easy to tell...

I have had a positive experience with Paycheck Flex. It accomplishes everything we need as an employer, as well as for our employees. I have zero issues or things that I would change with the software at this time.
This software is very user friendly, in the manager role, as well as the employee role. It is very easy to navigate and enter information, as well as find past information or documentation that you need.
I have not found any issues with the software. If I do, I will be sure to reach out to the developers about the issue.

Paychex Flex allows our company to finalize payroll easily for our weekly checks. Employees are able to view their paystubs the day before the check hits. Discrepancies are easily solved.
Ease of use: Manager login allows user to view and edit timecards of employees. Correct errors made by employees and finalize timecards for payroll. Layout of website is very user friendly and easy to find what is needed.
The scroll of "Clock In" through "Clock Out" should not have moving icons, as it causes some employees to click the incorrect punch.

As a manager, the ease of using the software for time cards and PTO requests. It is also much more beneficial to have a program that runs online than our former time clock system. Making corrections and sorting through employee punches is quick and simple.
There is only one kiosk to clock in and out, not sure if that is due to Paychex software though.

Overall, I like Paychex Flex. This allows me to not have to contact HR for minor questions, like, what do my benefits say about the deductible or requesting time off from my manager. Everything is in one space.
I like that I can submit my timesheet, request time off and view my benefits all in one place.
The system can be a little glitchy when you need to edit your clock-in/clock-out time. I hate it, because I never really know how to fix it each time, so then I just have to run down a list of trial and error processes and eventually I get it to work.

Payroll, taxes, insurance and other HR related duties are all tied into one application and that makes the life of an HR Manager much easier. Being able to integrate all of the information you need access to prevents a lot of headaches.
The ease of use and layout makes it easy to maneuver between screens. It is simple to add new employees and allows easy access for employees to enroll online and sign onboarding forms as well. Being able to easily access check stubs, make changes to hours, add one-time bonuses or withholdings is a top priority. The payroll reporting module is very user-friendly and I can access my past and current reports very quickly without a lot of searching.
The expense of adding employees adds up quickly. In comparison to other payroll systems, the cost is higher overall.

I love the ability to access my paychecks remotely as well as change my deductions at my convenience.
The ability to use the system from my smart phone is amazing. Just before I left for vacation I changed my deduction, unfortunately due to user error I had them deduct too much money from my pay check leaving me with a lot less than I expected. In a different environment I would have had to wait until I returned home the change the setting and therefore leaving my next paycheck with the same deduction. With the app I was able to adjust the deduction properly and my next check was the amount I was expecting.
The feature to submit you time off is missing an important function. It does not give the user the ability to see what has been requested until the request has been approved. It's very inconvenient for someone who's manager isn't monitoring the queue on a daily basis to approve their requests.

We are extremely satisfied with the services that Paychex Flex provides. We are using more features as they get rolled out, and it has helped keep our staff morale high. We really like using Paychex Flex for Payroll and HR management.
The convenience of having so many features in one place. We are able to achieve payroll and HR tasks faster than ever before. Ever since we started to use Paychex Flex employees have had less issues on their pay and benefits. The benefits are easy to access and the setup is user friendly.
There were some times they were performing maintenance on the site when we were trying to access. It can take some time to get through to support staff and you must know the specific issue you are calling about. There is lack of updates and benefits can take some time to setup for the HR manager.

Ease of use and lots of perks that come with the comprehensive plan. Cost kept rising over the years. It was not always easy to contact assigned account manager in a timely fashion which was frustrating. Perhaps by now they have a CHAT function so you can reach someone immediately.
Very easy to use....and very comprehensive. Paychex had a few perks that we don't currently have with our new payroll system. Was looking into healthcare options when we decided to change vendors.

Their web page more often than not will take a very long time to load, if at all. If you can get to the point where you can clock in, it may not log in your time punch. Be prepared to have to go to you manager to fix your time.
You can log on from home to check time sheets and pay stubs.
Very slow website.

Having all of the information about my personal payroll and management of my employees in one place has been very helpful.
As a manager I have enjoyed using this software to track time off, continuous performance feedback notes and the reminder about anniversaries and birthdays are really helpful! As an employee, it is really nice to have all of my payroll information in one place and be able to check how many vacation and sick hours I currently have and tax information etc..
The system sometimes is fairly 'deep', requiring several clicks to get into the particular area I am needing.

Information for our company's retirement account; tracking of our company's payroll; assistance and guidance with employee relations.
It is organized and user friendly. Our employees have no issues with locating what they need. I am able to navigate to locations and find what I need quickly. I also appreciate the extra level of security to access the site for company information. I also love the online HR library which is so helpful to me as an administrator/office manager.
I am not able to delete messages from the message board. Sometimes the site is slow to upload. It would be nice if there was an option to remove a reminder once it was completed.

I have been running payroll and in HR for over 17 years so have used many payroll services and Paychex is the absolute WORST - can't wait to switch. Overpriced and you have to do everything yourself including coding their system. Nothing works right once you do (no notifications, biometric time clocks don't record punches, CA payroll laws like 7th day OT never coded) it's truly a complete joke of a company. "Account Manager" does not actually do anything but tell you to call the 877 customer service number and they are beyond ignorant and unhelpful.

Customer service - The worst Assigned Account Manager - Does nothing but tell you to call Cust Service (see above) Helpfulness - None Expensive - YES Knowledgeable - None Compliant - Nope, set up CA payroll laws all wrong Ease of system use - terrible, you need to coded everything yourself Over selling - the best (how about fix your basic customer service and functionality before you continually try and up sell)

Paychex Flex is like the opposite of Zenefits: it's almost impossible to do anything online on the app, so you pretty much run your entire Payroll and Benefits functions through people with email and phone calls. For example, there's no way to track PTO/sick days -- you just have to make the entry for PTO when you're running payroll. You can't track new hire documents (like I9s or employee handbooks),...
-Good customer support. Their account managers really take a lot of the burden off you when it comes to running payroll and figuring out benefits administration. And whenever something goes wrong, they bend over backward to make it right. -Competitive rates -Running wage garnishments is automatic, there are resources for disputing UI claims, and regulatory compliance matters are handled largely by Paychex
-The Very involved process to get started. We were missing features online that we were supposed to have for weeks or months from pure oversight. -Running payroll yourself is very complicated using Paychex Flex. So you have to do it via email/phone, which has almost led to our payroll not running on time on several occasions. -Running reports is sometimes impossible without Paychex's support -- they have to manually run some reports for you. -You have to track pretty much all HR-related tasks yourself: keeping track of documents, time off, setting up new hires with Paychex (there's no self-serve system online for new employees), etc.

HR director managing payroll, PTO, personnel files. Paychex Flex was somewhat easy to pick up, but could have been easier with better UX for the site. I do a few hours of manual data entry each pay period due to lack of functionality in a few areas, despite asking customer support for solutions. Our account manager/rep is very quick to reply to questions and has proven knowledgeable.
Customizable user access Feels very secure Good reporting functionality Ability to customize views for easier data entry
UX problem: Huge text for unimportant areas, tiny text for the areas used most Cross-functionality: HRO doesn't connect to Payroll for all purposes. You may need to spend more for this? Means extra data entry each pay period for me. Some areas could be more intuitive, especially for typical next-step clicks

I would not recommend paycheck. Paycheck takes very long to load. There are too many tabs/ or links to click on to get to your actual time clock. It often does not work or is down. Leaving many time clock corrections for the manager and sometimes times are overlooked if there are so many employees and there are so many time clock corrections that have to be made due to the system being down.
