It has everything needed to be successful as an online personal trainer and coach.

The only con I can think of is that it takes a bit more time to set up than some other softwares. However, this is because it is branded 100% as my own so I need to put in my logos, descriptions, email address and integrate to my website. Well worth the small effort and now I have my own online platform.

I love that is is very user-friendly for the client and the coach and makes communication efficient.

The only thing I would like to show up in the future is a voice-to-text feature on the messenger when using a computer to address client check-ins.

Being able to coach more clients in one go. Setting this up is so simple.

The fact my WIX website is quite slow with the integration, however this will all be solved when the new version of the app is out for PTD which is very soon! PTD offer a mini site anyway so I use this at the moment until the release of the new app!

The functionality of this platform is very good. There's nothing you can't do as a trainer and nutrition coach.

The abundance of functionality works against the ease of use for me. It took months to get up and running and even then, the programming was time consuming and cumbersome for me.

The app & website are so user friendly and take care of any feature you could want as a coach.

It’s a bit more expensive than other apps I’ve used, but you pay for what you get.

The messaging centre is phenomenal. I can send or schedule text messages, in app messages and emails to individual clients and groups of clients in seconds. The impact this has had on my coaching is huge. I also love the flexibility of the software and program builder to do everything I want to do in the way I want to do it. My clients find it very easy to use.

It takes a bit of time to set up the website integrations and the app branding. This is not a massive problem as they show you how to do it and even do it with you live in the free Masterclass.

Very flexible and powerful platform allowing you to coach clients in a way that is tailored not just to your clients but to you as a coach too. Mix that with the live masterclasses, training and incredible support your on to a win with PT Distinction.

The only thing I can think of is the look of the software, though this is being improved in the next version of the software.

Elevates the client experience to a whole new level, our clients love it. Incredibly easy to use, set up, and implement on a daily basis. Allows us to coach clients enjoyable, effectively and efficiently!

there is very little that don't like. maybe add a selection of pre-built forms and assessments that can also be edited.

The coaching ability of the software, it's not just an exercise program. You can set up template programs and reuse aspects of them for future clients or large programs you create so you're not reinventing the wheel each time yet you can quickly make the programs bespoke.

I coach a lot of triathletes and I still need to use training peaks for distance training and recording. If I could drag and drop the programs in a big calendar view that would be helpful.

Love the features! I can send automated emails & texts to clients. Set up different groups and templates. Add my own exercises and programs. Its perfect for an online coach with a full roster.

The only issue I've seen is when clients do the workout, if they close out the app it will cancel their workout, but that makes sense to me.

I really enjoy the ability to automate through groups. With my course and messaging set up before the client even begins it leaves me to do what I love to do most, coach!

There is a slight learning curve when you first start out. The software is very customizable and because of that it is very easy to get overwhelmed with how to set everything up initially.

The ability to educate and empower my athletes, along side programming. It's not just about giving the clients exercises, but being able to actively COACH them throughout the whole process is a game changer.

I would like a little more versatility when it comes to personalising the coaching points for individual exercises. Each exercise has coaching points in text format and video formatting - which is brilliant. But having a section on the prescription of each movement (the same place you have the sets, reps, load, time etc.) where you can personalise and prescribe the unique execution for that individual. For example - "focus more on biasing weight distribution through your heels" during the squat - would be an absolute game changer for me.

Regarding individualising exercise descriptions for specific clients you can do this in the program builder by clicking the 3 dot menu on an exercise and selecting exercise settings, any edits to the description here will only show in the program you are currently building and not across all clients.

Allows me to save time on my business to focus on my Athletes and give them the best services possibly

As an S&C Coach, I would like to be able to show my athletes their Marco-cycles calendar, this would include intensity, volume and seasons, the type of work I can do with them

The application is very easy to follow for both the coach and the client. It is very robust, and very versatile, allowing for a lot of communication between the Trainer and the client. It is also user friendly and easy to follow through.

Nothing at the moment we have found that is disliked about the app. We will update if we find anything

This product the guys have created save you so much time and help you stay in better contact with clients and members with their automated systems that can be run from the software.

It would be good if clients could see there daily calories which the coach has set along with Marconutrient breakdowns, possibly having a traffic light system of clients on red if they are not sticking them, amber and green if they are doing well.

You can do just about anything with it. It has an immense video library of exercises you can pull from to build programs for clients. Anything you want your clients to be doing you can schedule for them using PTD. They have a private Facebook page where the developers answer questions, which is very helpful.

VERY hard to use, at first. Takes some time to learn the basics and if you want to learn some of the more advanced features its going to be a while. Now that I understand it, it is awesome. There are still dozens of features I am not even using because I just don't have the time to try and figure them out.

Thank you for the review Samuel. You're correct PT Distinction is the only software that does everything needed for quality online training. To make it crazy easy to use simply go to your clients dashboard and hit Add. From here you can add anything for your clients in just a couple of clicks.

Not paying additional cost for app. It adds so much value to my face-to-face clients and I am now looking to grow my business online as I believe I can provide an even better service and value for money as an online coach.

Navigation around site could be simpler. I would also like to see an app for the PT end which allows you to do everything you can do on the desktop version - for example, I'd like to be able to amend programs, comment on food diary etc on a mobile device instead of solely my laptop.

Navigation should be very simple, all you need to know is this; - To give something to a client go to the clients dashboard and click Add. - To give something to a group of clients go to a group dashboard and click Add. - To add a template go to Templates, chose the type and click Add. You can also do everything as a trainer on your phone, simply login to the web portal on your mobile and it loads up the web app which has all trainer features at the palm of your hand. We're very happy you love all of the features and your custom apps!

There are lots of features on this platform that have helped deliver online coaching to my clients in a professional and effective way. I really like all the communication tools. The way you can set up groups of clients and contact them as a cohort to help deliver instruction and motivational cues are beneficial to help grow a support network. The client view is very clean and easy to use. The feedback I've received has been very positive and my clients love having a platform to store all their fitness data, as well as track it! It's great to have the app service, as it means I'm easy to contact and also, my coaching tools are portable. And the video workout library is so helpful!

In the main, this platform is doing everything I need it to for now. The only thing I'd personally like to have is integration with Garmin and Strava, as I'm a run coach. But the integrations with MFP and Fitbit and Myzone are great.

I LOVE THIS SOFTWARE... I have compared it with true coach, trainerise and others but no one is as professional and easy to use as PT distinction Tim is a great dude had has a fb group if you need any help with anything. Great company!

I guess having a more tailored fat loss chart would be better where we can track people's smart scales

Integration with other platforms such as MyFitnessPal makes life so much easier as you only need to use this platform for all of your clients nutrition and training programs. Also creating groups and setting up the time released forms and assessments to go out to every client you add into the group saves a coach so much time!!!!

it is a little bit confusing to navigate at first but once you get the hang of it it becomes fairly easy to use.

The software is incredible easy to navigate for both the coach and the client. Simple habit tracking is what I looked for when I originally did this search and PT distinction hit the nail on the head perfectly. Well priced for the service that is offered and over two years using it I won’t be switching anytime soon.

The only thing I could think of would be that it took a while to update the good play App Store app (good job I’m iPhone) but it was no issue it didn’t disrupt service.
