Pros
I love the ability to communicate so quickly and effortlessly with our members. It’s is easy to setup groups for emails and then when needed you can send out thousands of emails in minutes.
They keep improving, keep listening and are generally fun people to work with. I think there's room for improvement in their product and they keep doing that, which is what I appreciate the most.
It also is useful to have the chat and messages features order to get a hold of teammates or coaches. If the few small issues would be resolved, it would be perfect.
Pros
We've really enjoyed the experience with Upper Hand's staff and software. Every interaction has been friendly, engaging, informational, professional, and super helpful.
I like that, even though we are new, I feel like we will get answers quickly to help us operate efficiently and provide that quality care to our customers.
As we get our business off the ground it has been great exploring the various features, and we are excited about the customer experience we'll be able to provide thanks to the software's ease of use.
Cons
As of this date, my database still does not work and the customer support is very poor. Nor have they refunded any monies as I have asked.
The payments are automatic and we had little to no control over who was charged what. We also didn’t like that the parents had to pay on the first.
No way to calculate a 'Maximum Charge" (In our league it's max $300/family). This just results in more time wasted explaining the limitations of SportsEngine to parents.
Cons
In time, they are always fixed, but it does put a dent in what we do from the admin side as well as the cliental side and it is quite frustrating.
Lacking several must have features that my new software program has. Also had numerous occasions where I cancelled a client but they continued to get charged through Upperhand.
We have a mix of repeat and new customers but for the most part we know when we’re seeing clients and classes. The fact that we still cannot make recurring events possible is ridiculous.
