I was previously using DoorDash Storefront with no platform fee for pickup orders and only a 2.99% credit card processing fee.

They have a wide range of marketing tools such as automated text and email blasts, as well as custom conversion cards, to convert third-party online business into direct sales via your app or website - both of which they build for you from scratch!

Owner.com heavily advertises itself as “commission-free,” but in reality, commission-free pickup and delivery through a restaurant’s own website is not new.

Owner.com helped us with our customer relationships and allowed us to prioritize direct orders without relying on third-party platforms, and all there crazy fees!.

There are a few features and workflows that don’t yet function exactly as we need for our operation, which created some friction early on.

Previously, I would have had to go through two or three different channels just to update widgets, photos, or general information, so this has been a huge improvement.

Owner.com has helped us reclaim a significant percentage of third-party delivery app commission fees at our restaurant, in just the first week of using it.

We particularly appreciate how seamlessly Owner.com updates our website, ensuring it always looks clean and professional, giving us the appearance of a larger, established business.

Overall, the vendor has failed to deliver the promised services, resulting in operational disruption, reputational damage, and financial loss.

The remaining 15% is related to catering not yet being available on the mobile version or the app.

There is no guarantee that performance will recover, and that creates significant risk for a small restaurant.

Managing multiple locations became much simpler once we moved to a single, all-in-one system.

Owner was able to produce a better version of our previous website and app, for cheaper than we were paying before.

The website and marketing upgrades have been a huge plus, and we’ve seen an increase in our average check through online orders.

The only thing that I would say about Owner.com is its limited customization, high fees, and occasional glitches.

To my surprise, they offer excellent technology that helps small businesses like mine grow awareness.

None of them are reviewed with the business owner, they just go out to the customers and the business owner has ZERO control over what the promotion is.

We have had independent professionals evaluate the SEO performance over several months, and the results have shown no meaningful improvement.

The person had a lack of knowledge about their own platform, at a point where I needed to prove on a zoom call to show how things in fact work in the Menu Sync.

The tools make sense, nothing feels patched together, and you can tell it was made by people who actually understand restaurants. If you run a restaurant and you’re tired of watching margins disappear, this is worth your time.

Our pos system is Toast, so we had to use an otter integration.

I assume they can be used on the website but it sure as heck would be better to say that they are only valid online as this created a pissed off customer that my staff had to deal with.
