Pros

For the staff members I have helped get set up with, they are very pleased with its ease of use. Overall experience is positive which is the most important factor to me in IT.
Love this app its the best out there. I trust it and I tell my friends and coworkers about it all the time.
I like it can easily customize and manage group passwords, making the passwords more robust and stronger and safer.

Pros

Dashlane is an established and trusted password manager. It makes it easy to manage multiple passwords, and also generates very strong passwords which is important in our business.
Dashlane has a beautiful, clean UI. It also has excellent integrations for all major browsers as well as mobile platforms.
A secure and organized way to keep track of your many passwords. You don't have to remember any of them and manage your online accounts with peace of mind effectively.

Cons

Any how we should pay for this software.other than that there is no any particular disadvantage ,but unable to move an item from one vault to another directly.
Occasionally the product will stop syncing my passwords to a device. This causes problems when the database is not up to date on each device.
The lack of capability to integrate a personal account in the same way LastPass does or maybe switch between business and personal accounts easily is a shame.

Cons

If you lose the master password, all the information is lost forever.
Suddenly stared failing without any reasons or hardware problems. One day it was working fine, then suddenly it just stopped working properly.
The only downside is if you have multiple credentials for one website, Dashlane will autofill for one credential which can make it time consuming to delete and reenter the correct details.

Best Password manager for Apple

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall good for companies. Lastpass and Dashlane are still not rich on enterprise, but for personal use, it's expensive.

Pros

I like the UI/UX and how rich experience is on iOS. We have 1Password on enterprise level to share. logins with teams, that feature I like it.

Cons

If you are using Lastpass or Dashlane, there is no advantage. I have used both and I can say, it's not different experience.

The Tables Have Turned

Reviewed a year ago

I jumped shipped from Dashlane about 6 months ago. By then, I was a thoroughly disgusted with it. When I started using it, I considered 1Password but it didn't seem as intuitive as Dashlane. Now the reverse is true—Dashlane has taken a steep dive into mediocrity (and beyond) and Dashlane seems so easy and intuitive by comparison! So glad I gave it a second try years later!!

Pros

It works! It's especially useful on my new iPhone which uses FaceID!

Cons

It doesn't always work how I want it to but I suspect that has more to do with the vagaries of the web than it does the software.

The best password manager

Reviewed 3 years ago

1Password is a fantastic tool that will help you to manage your passwords and private data for a very fair price. Having one different password for every website can be a pain but 1Password makes it easier than ever. If you wonder how you'll manage to login into apps & websites on your phone, the mobile app works like a charm and all your data is synchronized in the background.

Pros

1Password gives you an easy and secure way to manage all your credentials. Both Mac and iOS app are fast and stable. I love how you can not only save passwords but also some important data like credit card numbers, bank accounts, software licenses and many more. The 2FA integration is flawless, whenever you need a 2FA code, 1Passwords copies it and also restores your previous clipboard after a few seconds. This is one of the best features for me. Not knowing any of my passwords but being able to sign-in only with FaceID or my fingerprint is an amazing feeling. 1Password is an excellent tool to use at work as well.

Cons

I wish 1Password had a tool to import Dashlane passwords other than using a CVS file. Another feature from Dashlane that I miss is the ability to auto-login as soon as a web page is loaded.

Does what it should but not the easiest to use

Reviewed 10 months ago

My company switched from Dashlane to 1Password a couple of months ago and I use it daily for both work and personal accounts.

Pros

One password easily integrates with macbook touch ID, automatically saves and updates login info any time it detects a change or a new login, and it suggests strong passwords. iphone integration is also pretty seamless and easy to set up so it comes up as a signon option along with apple keychain whenever I need to login somewhere.

Cons

It's not as user friendly as other password management software I've used. You constantly have to log back in (the default settings make you enter your master password frequently, although they can be changed), and once you are logged in, it doesn't automatically fill in your info. You have to click the info field, then click the 1Password icon, then click to login to 1Password, then click the field again, then select your desired login from the drop down. Oh, and then go down to the next box and select that dropdown choice (luckily, it remembers you've logged in). Lots of extra steps, though, that make it pretty cumbersome and annoying to use. It also is a bit harder to navigate the master list and categorize login info.

Solid Password Manager

Reviewed 3 years ago

It's good to compare the different password managers out there (Dashlane, LastPass, etc.) to see which works best for your situation. 1Password wasn't the one for me, but it will be for many. It's definitely worth a look.

Pros

It is nice that it saves your passwords locally (to your machine) rather than in the cloud. That's something that a lot of security buffs will appreciate.

Cons

Personally, I don't feel that the features justify the price. I use a different, free password manager because of the cost difference.

Pros

1Password is super convenient when making new accounts or updating old ones. It makes remembering all of my passwords a breeze and keeping myself safe online easier than it has ever been.

Review 1 Password

For me, 1 password was a real plus for the security of my digital activities. And remembering only a password and then that's all it's good, even very good, however, to be honest, I'm with the competition who for me does better than 1 password.

Pros

One of my favorite features in 1Password, the Family Plan. That means my family plan covers all members of my family. And best of all, Watchtower monitors for external breaches this feature is very secure against external attacks. The possibility of finding it on any medium (computer, tablet, phone).

The Best Password Keeper (and I've tried many)

Reviewed a year ago

1password is great for individuals, but when it comes to teams, i keep track of my passwords i share in a spreadsheet. if anyone in my business were to leave, i generate a new password and share that with everyone except with the person that left. it keeps our passwords secure.

Pros

what i enjoy most is that this password keeper can keep all of my passwords synced between all of my devices and secure. I've tried dashlane, keeper, and lastpass and none were as easy to use as 1password

Cons

i don't like that they discontinued their one-time payment app. i bought 1password when it was $1.99 in the app store and had them ever since. the best $2 i ever spent

1Password has been the standard to beat for over a decade.

Reviewed a year ago

Using a password manager has become so critical to taking responsibility for your own infosec success that I can't imagine being without one. If you don't understand why this is, then that's the first thing you need to educate yourself on. Once you've done that, 1Password is likely to be everything you, your family, and your small business needs to manage

Pros

1Password is a fairly comprehensive password manager system for individuals, families and teams. It's been under heavy continuous development for the 10+ years I've been using it. I've had the displeasure of using Dashlane and LastPass with former employers, and in comparison to them 1Password's UI creams all over them.

Cons

Honestly I've rarely had much cause to complain about 1Password over the many years. I now have over 1000 credential sets stored in 1Password, accumulated over a decade of use, and 1Password has never let me down, never lost any data.

Best password manager for average users

Reviewed a year ago

Having started with Lastpass, then transferred to Dashlane, I landed on 1Password a couple of years ago and have not looked back. It makes it easy to create robust, unique, and secure login credentials for all of my online resources, and keeps me up to date when those credentials are included in the increasingly common data breaches that are turning up due to companies' substandard data protection practices. In short, LOVE IT!

Pros

Unless you are HYPER concerned about security and want to maintain your own password database(s), 1Password is the most secure, robust, and easiest to use of the products I have tried, including lastpass and dashlane, its two most prominent competitors.

Cons

I have absolutely NO complaints about my experience with 1Password. As far as I can tell, it just works.

Does the Job But Other Options Exist

Pros

I like the easy add-on of passwords and quick automatic login in. In addition, 1 password is one of the few providers of advanced encryption. I also like how it removes sensitive data from my devices when I travel

Cons

Expect to pay for a bit more compared to other password manager like Dashlane. Even Google Chrome offers some basic features of password protection and storage so it depends on your needs. If you travel a lot then 1 password hands down is what you should get.

Secure Business Password Management

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's great that passwords and data sync across multiple devices. It's easy to use and the security is excellent. The Travel Mode feature is handy as it allows you to lock your passwords on all devices when on the move.

Pros

Does the basics well for business password management including security control, auditing, analytics and secure storage. Includes two-factor authentication. Works across multiple platforms such as Windows, iOS and Android.

Cons

Importing passwords directly are limited to a few platforms only (e.g. other 1Password accounts, LastPass, Dashlane and a few others). You may need to export password data from another password manager to a CSV file and then convert to 1Password's requirements. However, this is a one-off exercise then it's done.

I've had a great experience using 1Password as a personal user for over 5 years and just recently got our department to set up a business account. The customer service team was very prompt and helpful in getting the account setup for us.

Pros

Like other popular password managers, 1Password is available on almost any device and browser, which makes the friction of using it very minimal. The password generation is a great tool to create or update passwords.

Awesome. Love this software. A great toolkit for any small business owner.

Pros

Absolutely LOVE this tool. It's cheaper than most password managers out there, I use the business level tier and it's like 8 bucks a month. Which would be well worth it for the password tools alone, but this is a toolkit that comes with a LOT of extra features as well.

Cons

Not really any cons, honestly. The price is good and the extra bells and whistles are great. The only downside I would say is that if you ONLY need a password manager and nothing else, there are definitely cheaper options out there.

Pros

The UI/UX of dashlane business is great! i love the functionality of the browser extension as well. Of course shared passwords is the main benefit of dashlane. Its also really easy to store different passwords for different teams

Cons

The whole point of dashland business is that you can have shared passwords between your teammates but the actual sharing is super complex. you first have to set up the password, store it in a vault for the respective team but then for some reason you have to share it with the individual team members before they can see it. Also in general: its not cheap so i wished they would have made the usage of this product a bit more intuitive.

Good, But Lacking Compared To Competition

Reviewed 3 years ago

We ended up only using Dashlane for about a week until we decided to switch to 1Password.

Pros

My favorite feature of Dashlane is the ability to change all (or some) of your passwords at once. This is especially useful for a business that utilizes accounts that are accessed by multiple employees.

Cons

There were a few caveats that made us stop using Dashlane. Firstly, there are no folders, making it hard to manage our 50+ different account passwords and impossible to share specific folders with different media departments. Also, the price is higher than the competition, which makes it a bit unappealing when compared to something like 1Password (especially because they don't offer any multi-user plans on their lower price tiers).

Dashlane for Business

Good but the product team made a huge mistake

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall I had a good experience but as I stated in the cons section, that was a red flag for me and I moved.

Pros

Overall the product is great, even though I migrated to 1Password since then. The one feature I miss is the password generator and the ease of generating passwords.

Cons

There were some situations in which Dashlane would fail but overall it worked ok. The red flag for me was when they published the password analysis in 2018 or 2019. How could they know the passwords if the password vaults are encrypted with the vault / user master key. I switched after that.

Dashlane for Business

The best among the competition

Reviewed 4 years ago

I love this product and use it daily. If you aren't using a product like Dashlane or 1Password, you've likely already had your login stolen. If you're using the same logins for multiple sites, your identity is in the hands of someone else already, and potentially your credit card info.

Pros

- Absolutely necessary product in the age we live in! - Great integration with iOS! (recent update) - Works great across platforms, including all browsers - Lets you know when a site you use has been compromised - Lets you automatically change passwords with 1 click (sort of) - Safely manages your credit card info, and autofills shipping details - Includes a notes area where you can securely save important notes/details

Cons

- The one-click password changer works for some sites, but I end up needing to do it manually most of the time - Sometimes (especially on mac) it doesn't always recognize that a login field is active, forcing me to refresh the page, or open the Mac app to activate the chrome extension, etc. This is a random bug an I'm not sure what is causing it. For the most part, though, it works well. - I wish it included a file storage section, although you can use Mega.nz for encrypted storing of files if you need that.

Dashlane for Business

Simple interface for password management

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

I love the overview of the password security. It is nice to get an at glance look to see if our passwords are strong, and then change them if necessary. Also like giving users individual access that can be revoked if necessary.

Cons

Employees don't want to use it to keep their personal passwords on the software, still keep using alternative programs, like LastPass or 1Password, for personal use. This is causing two password management software programs on the machines, which is not ideal. This is probably due to dashlane's price while others are free.
