Pros

For the staff members I have helped get set up with, they are very pleased with its ease of use. Overall experience is positive which is the most important factor to me in IT.
Love this app its the best out there. I trust it and I tell my friends and coworkers about it all the time.
I like it can easily customize and manage group passwords, making the passwords more robust and stronger and safer.

Pros

This is greatly used as this is a great place to save all the passwords and it will autofill. And also recommends when a new website is trying to create a password.
Keeper is an excellent tool for keeping your accounts (and all the data contained in them) secure, and it helps you create secure passwords without having to remember them.
Protection, ease of use, ability to share records with my account managers in the business and the price was good.

Cons

Any how we should pay for this software.other than that there is no any particular disadvantage ,but unable to move an item from one vault to another directly.
Occasionally the product will stop syncing my passwords to a device. This causes problems when the database is not up to date on each device.
The lack of capability to integrate a personal account in the same way LastPass does or maybe switch between business and personal accounts easily is a shame.

Cons

If those users go on to leave the company, you will be permanently unable to edit those records.
My client sometimes create loads of entries without folders and they are heavy users then get lost.
The only downside for this is - even logging from the same computer after 30 days it needs a code to log in.

The Best Password Keeper (and I've tried many)

Reviewed 3 years ago

1password is great for individuals, but when it comes to teams, i keep track of my passwords i share in a spreadsheet. if anyone in my business were to leave, i generate a new password and share that with everyone except with the person that left. it keeps our passwords secure.

Pros

what i enjoy most is that this password keeper can keep all of my passwords synced between all of my devices and secure. I've tried dashlane, keeper, and lastpass and none were as easy to use as 1password

Cons

i don't like that they discontinued their one-time payment app. i bought 1password when it was $1.99 in the app store and had them ever since. the best $2 i ever spent

1Password is the 1

Reviewed 5 years ago

Love it. It's the most efficient and easy to use password keeper I've ever used.

Pros

1Password is easy to use and set up new users. The feature that allows for segmenting passwords at levels of access is great. I have sensitive sites specific to HR and Finance and I limit access only to those who are authorized to access those sites. I have passwords stored that are open to all and access various news sites we subscribe to. I also have a set of private passwords. It's really easy to...

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to remember the master password. Sometimes it's annoying to get a popup every time you log in. Other than that no complaints.

it helpped me keep my passowrds in one place in the past.

Pros

it has been useful tool to save your passwords in one place. one password for all accounts can be dangerous and multiple passwords tend to be forgotten. and this app was a solotuin to both these issues

Cons

it is just an additional app that does the same thing as apple's keychain or google smart lock / passowrd keeper.

It's Good, but There are Better Alternatives

Reviewed 4 years ago

I mostly ended up using this for personal use. However, when I found a platform with a UI that I preferred, I switched and have been using it ever since.

Pros

With any password keeper, it's extremely convenient to have all of your passwords stored in one place. Having to remember only one password vs a hundred is ideal.

Cons

The UI isn't up to snuff as compared to some other platforms I've used. I ended up switching to a competitor that I've been using for the last several years and like quite a bit more.

The best in class for Password Management

Reviewed 2 months ago

Nothing but positive, its a wonderful product, easy to use, supports 2FA and Passkeys and is easy to train staff on.

Pros

After trying a number of different password managers, such as LastPass, BitWarden and Keeper we settled on 1Password due to its UI, ease of use, feature set and pricing.

Cons

The fact they don't have a MSP program just yet is disappointing, but as I write this they have just announced that it is coming.

Cons

Not quite as prevalent as keepass. Sometimes autofill does not work for mac. otherwise no negative aspects.

Unbeatable password manager for any platform!

Reviewed 4 years ago

I've been using 1Password since early versions. It absolutely revolutioned the approach to password and generation and other sensitive data storage, through smart use of main cloud services. Shared vaults allow to keep family passwords and personal information updated among trusted members. Extremely useful to save ID's, social security, bank and financial information, login information. I've tried some other password keeper software, but 1Password is still the most easy and well designed out there.

Pros

Most impressive features: - Robust encryption standard - Well designed user interface, you will find anything quickly - Standard templates are great and offers all you may need - Customized fields - Integration with browsers, for automatic password detect and secure storage - Synchronization of vaults among devices, through common cloud services - Powerful mobile app

Cons

1Password does not offer purchase options anymore, the company fully migrated to subscription scheme.

Does what it's supposed to, but transition between licensing formats is a headache for individuals

Reviewed 6 years ago

Upgraded security and privacy

Pros

1Password is a solid password manager that's available pretty much everywhere. It's been my manager of choice for quite a while after my last job covered licenses for the whole company. In addition to passwords, it also manages identities and payment methods, which makes filling forms out a breeze. Since leaving that job, I went ahead and sprung for the individual license. Things have been fine up until recently, with their push to 1Password 7. They are clearly trying to move lifetime licensees to a monthly subscription, and it's breaking the software for me in critical ways.

Cons

Despite having a license, the Chrome extension still only runs in "read-only mode" i.e. completed nerfed password tool. Recent updates has made this significantly worse than other password managers on the market. I would have given up long ago had I not already paid for it. Here's an example: Want to create a 1Password account on desktop to sync and save passwords? First sign in on web! Oh, you'll...

Vendor response

Hi Jeremy Brand, Thank you for reviewing 1Password! I am sorry about the trouble with the Chrome extension. Please try to remove it and then install it using this link: https://1password.com/browsers Let me know if that fixes the problem with the extension for you. Thanks! Use 1Password and then this software will remeber your password

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have used the iOS version of 1Password for many months and LOVED it. The Android version is very glitchy.

Pros

So far the best password manager I have used. I tried Bitwarden, Nordpass, Keeper, and Lastpass but 1Password seems to be more stable and handy for me. Of course, paying for a service is most of the time better than a free alternative.

Cons

It provides a great service but I find it difficult to navigate and also I have not enjoyed this app. Still, I'm trying to figure it out.

Great for password management in the business environment

Reviewed 4 years ago

I have found 1Password to be a great addition to office security. End point security is oftern the point of penetration for hackers and 1Password allows your team to keep up its productivity and security.

Pros

1Password is a great option for managing all of the passwords for an employee. Often employees resort to weak passwords or keeping a written copy of their passwords so they don't forget them. 1Password eliminates this by having the employee (or an administrator) access all their passwords by just typing in one main one.

Cons

I havn't found any cons to this program. It works as intended and is priced reasonably. I guess the only con would be that more companies should use it because it is very effective at end point security.

One of the best password managers for businesses

Reviewed 4 years ago

1Password helps solve the problem of having too many complex passwords to remember and improves users security (which in turn improves the business security as a whole).

Pros

1Password makes it easy to store completely different (complex) passwords for every week without you having to remember each one, thus making it that much harder for your accounts to be accessed without you knowing. The UI is easy to use and it even allows you to use it for two step verification.

Cons

For a smaller team it is very fairly priced, however this cost can increase fast due to it costing $8 per user. There are also free password manager alternatives available which may be better suited.

Best password manager on the market

Reviewed 5 years ago

Being a forgetful person with many different passwords for maximum security, this app has become a necessity to maintain that security without having forgetfulness get in the way.

Pros

Very secure and easy to use interface make this password manager my personal favorite on the market. It's in the middle, cost wise, but you're paying for very secure password management software.

Cons

The price could be made to match other apps such as LastPass but the design and security of this app is top notch and justifies the price.

Overall, 1Password offers a robust solution for my security needs. Its seamless integration across devices and strong security features instill confidence. A more competitive pricing would elevate the experience.

Pros

Good value but not exceptional

Reviewed 4 years ago

I have no reason to doubt Keeper from a security point of view, and it's serviceable from a usability point of view, so it's okay overall. For it to become a truly exceptional tool, it would need to add the missing features that competitors have and tweak the UI a bit so that it's a bit more modern. (Like, can we get rid of the "Encryption Enabled" message? It's silly to think a password manager wouldn't use encryption in this day and age.)

Pros

Keeper is reasonably priced compared to the competitors we considered. Unlike virtually all SaaS vendors, they publish detailed release notes for all of their component products, which is *super* nice. (I just wish they included RSS feeds with those release notes so I didn't have to make my own...) Keeper is compatible with many different platforms, including Linux (Keeper desktop) and Safari (Keeper browser extension). A lot of competitors couldn't give a whit about products like Linux and Safari.

Cons

It's been years since we signed up with Keeper, but it still has some fairly basic limitations that it needs to overcome. For instance, in shared folders, it'd be nice to have separate sharing settings for subfolders. The UI as a whole is just not as refined as something like 1Password.
