Pros and cons

I was impressed with the level of service provided, tech support is amazing.
Been extremely pleased with the product, saved the company lots of money.
I have been using this platform for almost 10 years and it has never failed to do its job.
This cost savings on loss of productivity on this incident alone paid for the solution multiple times over.
I have been in the IT industry for over 30 years and there are very few platforms that I do not have at least a small annoyance to complain about other than OnQ.
Some self test fails, limited restore options, complicated performing bare metal restores, and clunky UI.

Solid corrective control

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, our experience has been good. I would like to see some of the cost go down. Instead.

Pros

Simple, easy to use and effective as a corrective control.

Cons

Some hiccups over the years but support was able to iron them out.

I highly recommend this software.

Pros

Allows me to make use of my own server rooms for backup appliance replication without paying someone else to host.

All-In-One DR Protection

Pros

Once configured, it works well. Adding new server vm's is pretty straight forward

Cons

Requires some knowledge of XenServer. Freeing up space can be combersome.

Not impressed with product deployment and question the true value

Reviewed 2 years ago

I feel that the product was misrepresented and not the complete solution I was sold. Told that it has 365 protection only to find that I had to purchase that separately. Then to find after the contract was signed that it was not even a Quorum solution but a remarketed solution that violated our policy of only deploying U.S. based solutions. My overall sales and deployment experience has me questioning the value of the product and whether I will continue after the end of our term.

Pros

The concept of 3 layers of backup and DR

Cons

Deployment and overall product delivery.

Quorum Review

Reviewed 2 years ago

Our experience since implementing Quorum onQ has been great.

Pros

The primary reason we selected Quorum was for the on perm backup with cloud replication. The ability to launch a VM from the cloud in case of an emergency was a big bonus.

Cons

I have not experienced a disaster so I don't currently have a con. The customer service is top tier.

Quorum backup and disaster recovery is excellent. Even better is their technical support!

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have done 2 complete file server restorations with Quorum in addition to the odd file or folder restores here and there.

Pros

Quorum does exactly what they advertise. What really sets them apart is their technical support. They are always there with top-notch engineers to help you solve issues, or recover from the unexpected.

Cons

I really haven't found any problems with Quorum, and I have been a customer for about 5 years.

Quorum review

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have had nothing but great things when it comes to working with devices as well at techs. They have even recommended when to upgrade devices FW/SW.

Pros

Software is very easy to setup and has great options in terms of back times. Can be daily for some servers while a file server can be hourly depending upon if backup window will back up entire server within 1 hour. It is great being able to backup a server hourly, pretty amazing. Back in the day a weekly back was acceptable and was more work. Too many features to list...

Cons

Can get a little pricey but Quorum will cover you behind when or if disaster strikes... Backups are not needed until they are needed, which for some can be too late...

Needs Improvement

Reviewed 2 years ago

Disappointing.

Pros

When we were evaluating backup systems, Quorum was the only one that worked in our environment.

Cons

Our OnQ is a proprietary system. We've had several issues with the system over the years, not only with the system (hardware and software), but administratively at various levels of the organization.

Quorum onQ is a service that should not be overlooked.

Reviewed 2 years ago

We have used Quorum for years and I can honestly suggest this to anyone looking for a backup\insurance policy for any company.

Pros

The ability to spin up a virtual server during a time like we are in with cyber security threats looming around the corner was massive for us. The software is easy to use the the support staff is very knowledgeable.

Cons

The initial setup can be a bit daunting but once it is configured it hums along with no issue.

Quorum gives me the disaster recovery I needed along with excellent daily backups.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Nice folks to work with, really happy to have found their product.

Pros

The techs help to setup the software so it was easy to implement on our servers, once a year do a review and help to update software and I get daily reports of the backup completion. That fact that it is also our disaster recovery machine really gives me peace of mind that I needed.

Cons

Only con, was that one of the machines failed and they didn't really have a solution to fix it. Should have sent a box so I could of sent it back. Luckily, it was a machine I didn't really need as had another upgraded one.

So far so good!

Pros

Web GUI is really easy to use, even for a novice user.

Cons

Running updates requires an OnQ tech to apply the update, I wish it were easier though it has never been a hassle.

Organized! Efficient!

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, OnQ is my preferred PMS. I have worked for 2 other brands before.

Pros

I love the layout of this property management system. It’s very organized from checking in guests to running reports.

Cons

I do wish there was a way to mark a guest a do not rent to prevent the guest from making future reservations.

Quorum OnQ

Reviewed 4 years ago

I have been using this platform for almost 10 years and it has never failed to do its job. Everyone at Quorum is super easy to work with from the account managers to the implementation team and the technical support staff. They were very thorough with pre-purchase discovery, making sure we got exactly what we needed. There was a lot of pre-deployment discussion concerning our environment and they...

Pros

Simply put, this software does exactly what is designed to do. It delivers a backup and disaster recovery platform that works flawlessly. It is also a turnkey solution that provides local and remote backup, file recovery, DR and archive that is managed in one, very easy to use interface. Configuration of the platform is a breeze.

Cons

I have been in the IT industry for over 30 years and there are very few platforms that I do not have at least a small annoyance to complain about other than OnQ. I have been using it for almost 10 years and I have yet to find a single fault with it.

Ease of use and solid performance

Reviewed 5 years ago

We have been using this solution for the past 5+ years. The solution has been rock solid, and the support prompt and professional. It is also comforting to know your on premise data is not only kept in a robust server, but a duplicate of all your backups are kept in their datacenter.

Pros

The user-friendly management portal takes the complexity out of configuring, performing, and modifying backups and restores.

Cons

Until the most recent upgrade I would have said the lack of a dashboard and easy to read reports, but that is now a standard feature of the newest release.

I work in regulatory compliance, and the OnQ portal by Quorum Review is something that I use weekly.

Reviewed 7 years ago

OnQ is really great about organizing their documents. It's always easy to find what I'm looking for. I use it primarily to pull documents from but sometimes to submit as well, and I've never had an issue trying to submit information. OnQ makes it quick in easy to keep track of regulatory documents, and in regulatory compliance, keeping things in order is essential.

Pros

I like the organization of this OnQ portal the most. Once I'm on the dashboard, it's easy to look at the studies I'm working with and organize the documents by study, protocol, type of document, etc. Often times when I log onto IRB website's, it's because I'm looking for something in particular, usually some type of recruitment document. With OnQ, I can type in "recruitment" and everything related to that will show up in my search. It cuts down time and makes it easy for me to find what I need.

Cons

The one thing that can be tricky is getting to the material I need. Once you log in, you either go to the documents & correspondence or the workspace. I usually go to the workspace because most of the other IRBs that I work with keep their documents in a space labeled similarly. But this is not a fault on OnQ, it's just what I'm accustomed to.

Fantastic Backup and DR solution

Reviewed 7 years ago

It's a highly flexible and capable backup and DR platform. I've been using it for nearly 5 years and I plan on sticking with them for the foreseeable future.

Pros

- Complete peace of mind in regards to my backup and DR environment - Automatically creates a standby clone of all my protected servers - DRaaS or physical appliances - Ready made test environment - Outstanding Support

Cons

Reporting on my version (3.9) is somewhat weak. Not geared for larger environments (in my version, I believe 4.0 has rectified this)
