“First of all it has a super affordable price: I hate this trend of subscriptions everywhere, for literally anything, it's expensive - especcialy if you dont' know exactly what you'll do with a software.”

Integration rating: 5.0 (18)

The designer and Photo integration is perfect, I have never encountered any problems at this level. When I need to carry out more advanced processing offered by Affinity designer's Persona mode, I can easily make the transition to Affinity Photo and vice versa.

Both apps do many of the same things, but Designer excels at vector art while Photo excels at raster images. Sometimes I need one over the other, but I can import the results of one into the other. Just depends on the need.

It's so nice that the files work nicely together and transfer easily so I don't have to worry about not being able to work in something in photo and not open it in designer.

I highly recommend buying Affinity Designer with Affinity Photo if you are a digital artist who does digital drawing, painting, or animation.

when you have the 2 combined you can switch from a vector layer to a pixel layer with all the tools of one program into the other

In workflow, it is hard to separate image from vector illustration, today you need both in same project - same file.

seamless integration through their studiolink technology so you can easily switch modes within the same app

Depending on the type of project but it is needed when if I need to mix vectors and images.

It's an easy transition to add text or vector linework to your art with Designer.

Because the entire Affinity suite of apps work together, it's inevitable that Publisher and Photo will overlap eventually. In fact, the designers of Publisher anticipated this integration, so they added a feature called "Studio Link" to ensure its ease of use. I just don't use Publisher as much as Photo, so I don't integrate them that much, either. But I have, and I will again. Soon.

At the end you need product, online publication or press material. You need DTP suite to merge all your graphics content and text in one great product...

I do a lot of ebok design, having the integration of this two allows me to edit images and add them directly to publisher just with copy paste.

Publisher makes the trifecta, with Photo to enhance photos and designer to add graphics. Publisher puts it all together into a book format.

Designer is the desktop publishing system and good for putting final product together - use Photo to manipulate the images

seamless integration through their studiolink technology so you can easily switch modes within the same app

When you use publisher combined with photo, you can draw directly on the pages with the quality you want.

I manage the editing of my bitmap designs in Affinity photo and then pass them on to Publisher.

Affinity Photo allows designers to perform real-time image rendering, edit photoshop document (PSD) files, and utilize studio presets for UI layouts.
