Pros

We love that is is really use to use, to manage the products and check the orders. It is very user friendly, which is really helpful when you have a large team.
I love how easy it is to check out. I love there is a card swiping device too so payments are flawlessly done.
Shopify is a popular tool with great support that makes it easy to get started an online e-commerce business. It has also great integration across different platforms like Laptops/PCs and smartphones.

Pros

My second onboarding specialist, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], is amazing, always responsive and willing to help. My 3PL integration engineer, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], is wonderful.
Great customer support, the implementation team took good care of us and answered our questions quickly and efficiently. They were patient and gave clear explanations.
Great reporting capabilities. Customer service has been amazing and our implementation specialist has been a dream to work with.

Cons

Was not very much support on the stubborn aps that refuse to leave when you delete them.
Sometimes on the app I have trouble tracking my package either error from the sending company or from the something on my end in not understanding the app to it's fullest.
Bad practice, leaves a bad taste in the mouth. No other company does that.

Cons

Stock sync is a mess, keeps zeroing out our Shopify stock. Uploading from Cin7 to Shopify is impossible, we tried and lost all our store listings took 5 days to re-enter the data.
Zero compensation for lost data which was only one of the issues with bugs.
9 months on, and still no end in sight to the implimenttation process, with one team member blaming another, or a different department being the common issue.

Very happy with Cin7 overall. We moved from a whole of business software package we used for 19 years to Xero and another parts and POS 18 months ago. Xero was good, which we still use but the parts and POS system we selected wasn't a good choice. We changed to Cin7 after a few months and wish we'd made the initial switch to Cin7 instead. Since then we've never looked back.

Pros

Product ordering & management is powerful and makes managing our retail shop straight forward. Point of Sale is easy to use. Multi user functionality never conflicts so we don't get IT issues with Cin7.

Cons

Functionality between Cin7 & Shopify is limited.

Looks Decent, Will Have to See When Up and Running

So far it looks promising and support is working with us to tackle problems we're having with Shopify tax solutions, and Commission Rep reporting features as well was discount issues within the B2B platform. Once these are resolved I expect it will meet our needs. We hope to have our warehouse needs met by Jan 1, and our B2B platform ready by Feb 1. Until we launch and have been using for a bit, we can't give more stars - but we're optimistic it will be suited to our staff and customer needs. The layout seems user-friendly, as always with a big system change over - the headaches lie within the setup.

Pros

We can keep track of our inventory level at different locations and have that reflect on our Shopify system.

Cons

It's expensive and there are some things we still can't figure out with the backend, in terms of having Shopify read into Cin7. Currently, only Cin7 can read into Shopify.

Organization Integration with Shopify B2B website for our wholesale customers

Pros

We like the simple organization of everything with-in the system. Very self explanatory. There's so many opportunities with cin7 to be able to keep track of information and manage inventory. When we joined we had no idea how much cin7 really had to offer. From the B2B site to the easy integrations with our website, we are definitely a satisfied customer.

Cons

I wish there was the ability to make items a different price within a size grid. For example our shirts we get in sizes X-Small to XX-Large and our XX-Large shirts cost more so the only option I have is to create another product for the XX-Large or just take note of it elsewhere for book keeping. Also it would be great to see an option that allows you to discount your products and it get pushed over to our integration which is shopify.

CIN7 help us to manage the wholesale and eCommerce inventory effectively. It integrates with Shopify and Xero. Now all prodcuts and inventory data are centralised in CIN7.

Cons

The steps of product mapping between CIN7 and Shopify takes too much time. The process can be simplified.

Good. We were assigned [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who was extremely response, knowledgeable and great to work with. She was very patient as we only have a small and not particularly experienced team so were on a steep learning curve.

Pros

The capacity to allow us to grow internationally and integrate with all our existing platforms

Cons

Not all automated eg need to push through changes to Shopify (but that is easy enough to manage)

Has been great. Very hands on from our side but Cin7 support were there to show us where the resources are to be found.

Pros

I love that Cin7 is cloud based, integrated well with Shopify and is relatively easy to use.

Cons

Some inventory control functions are a little simple. Some areas of the system are very flexible which is great as a manager but is too easily edited by other staff.

Sales were great, 1:1 with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was amazing, he has the most amazing patience with me as I am not the most tech-savvy person alive.

Pros

Moving away from excel spreadsheets & allowing all of our inventory to be Sync across B2B & our Shopify store.

Cons

Trying to learn everything in such a cramped amount of 1:1 time, the academy is great but I wish I had more time with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who can show me specific examples of my business.

Pros

Cin7 supports variants and it can integrate with 1 Shopify with 2 locations which is what we need.It can integrate with Stripe payment so B2B customers can pay online directly.

Cons

There is no way to bulk invite B2B customers, you have to manually type everyone's name and invite them separately.Once you downloaded products from Shopify you can't download any newly added variants from Shopify, have to create the same variant in Cin7 and delete the mapping and remap them.

Nearly 10 years of use.The product is great but the support is terrible. Harf to recommend to a new user as they would need a lot of support to get up and running.

Pros

Easy to use and a lot of functionality.Interfaces easily into Shopify and Xero.Great for running a small manufacturing and online business.

Cons

We have been using CIN7 for almost ten years.Great product with a lot of features and is reasonably priced. The reason for the low rating is that the support is woeful. If you can actually get someone to resend, then they are very professional and offer great support - the challenge is to get someone to respond.Tickets stay open for months; you have to chase and chase and chase.If you rang in continuously, eventually you would get someone - they have now stopped incoming calls.Chat is offline more than online.Sending a ticket in - is just a void.Hopefully, they will improve as the product is very good.

We have only been live for two weeks but so far we have seen an increase in efficiency in order processing and inventory management. Having all of our data in one centralized location will have multiple benefits over time.

Pros

Most features are relatively intuitive, decent amount of customization options, native integrations with Amazon/Shopify, able to integrate with our 3PL

Cons

The Quickbooks integration was not seemless as is was made out to be in onboarding. We are currently stuck with some lack of functionality that makes our Accountant's manual workload increase due to having to adjust every invoice that comes over from Cin7. More transparency up front on the lack of features there would have been critical.

Cin7 is a decision we don't regret.

We started with Cin7 before the pandemic hit. They have you partnered with someone to help with set up and then when you go live. We went live April 2020. I missed having easy access to someone to help us, answer questions, do minor configurations that we saw we needed. After a few months, we went to premier level. That was the smartest thing. We had a direct contact, weekly calls, any tickets or requests were managed timely. After 6 months or so, "we got it", and have been on our own. Still send in random support tickets, but I am proud of our whole team that we know how to leverage the tool.

Pros

Our end goal was to use Shopify. Cin7 was the inventory management solution that made the most sense. We could also integrate with Xero and ShipStation. One transaction flows through the tool the same way, whether I start in POS, Shopify or Cin7 back end. Makes it seamless for our team to process. I trust the data. This is one source of truth.

We are an apparel wholesaler, so we have learned to look at style-color-size different. We would like to be able to scan both customer orders and inventory transfers or counts. That isn't fully enabled yet.

Complete business overview and control in real time. Stock inventory, warehouse controls, automatic purchasing, sales, point of sale for our retail stores, shopify and xero integration.

Pros

Managing our 9 retail stores and warehouse is becoming very easy. This software has given us the platform and ability to scale with ease and at pace. The Laybye System is amazing and easy to track and use. Not many systems offer this purchase option. Seemless integration to xero and shopify make life a breeze. We are able to monitor each sales person in real time and look at their performances over past months with 1 or 2 clicks. The reporting is great and the Smart Buyer software has made our lives easier. Stock management and the integrated warehousing is just awesome. We track every stock movement and know exactly where it is, down to the exact shelf at any given time. An awesome product that keeps getting better and better.

Cons

Being in South Africa some times support takes awhile. Small things change on updates sometimes throwing the entire system out which results in a week or two of waiting for fixes. They seem to be getting better at this. Full integration has taken awhile but that is due to our complex business and the fact that we are learning and using every function Cin7 offers. We will never look back!

Takes time to set up properly but well worth the effort

Cin7 has automated many of the tedious admin tasks we used to do and has also allowed us greater control selling our stock over multiple channels

Pros

For us the the automation of Shopify and Amazon stock and orders was the main selling point and it does this seamlessly - a huge time saver for us .

Cons

Quite a lot of customisation is required to get the system working the way we want it too but the support staff are always very helpful

Excellent onboarding service & thorough inventory system

While a challenging step up from our previous inventory system, the Cin7 team were very helpful & attentive throughout the onboarding process and guiding us through familiarising ourselves with all its capabilities. The Cin7 Academy is a thorough resource and our dedicated specialist gave us confidence in the product with his quick & regular communication during the weeks of set up.

Pros

Allows us to integrate with our B2C Shopify store, B2B online store and 3PL order fulfilment, as well as managing our stock imports from external suppliers both domestically and globally.

Cons

We'd love more ability to tailor the look of our B2B store, however functionally it still meets all our needs

Pros

The reporting systems and EDI/API integration are more expansive and user friendly than our old system. I also like the ease of integration between Shopify and Cin-7, and the stock management systems.

Cons

The on boarding process-but who likes that!? As my colleague and I weren't experienced in system integrations we struggled in the beginning but with suppoer from Cin-7 got there in the end.

Good product helps us manage inventory well

Pros

great for a fashion company. Allows us to keep stock of multiple sizes and colors with ease. we are getting better at keeping our inventory up to date with the help of this product. Very customizable.

Cons

Somewhat cumbersome to teach to new employees. The integration to the online stores (both shopify and bigcommerce) need improvement but are definitely functional as is but would like to see the integrations simpler.

So far, we haven't used a proper inventory system and Cin7 is helpful to customise and track our inventory level. Also, it's integrated with Shopify and the stock levels can be easily fulfilled automatically.

Pros

Organising all the products and stock items can be easily set up and categorise. Also, the supporting documents and videos help us to understand to organise stocks and products.

Cons

Reporting is hard to customise and we don't have the SQL feature to add the custom items. However, the support team is very helpful to solve our issues.

After working out all the initial problems, it does the job that we need it to. I did just notice that the Cin7 app is no longer in Shopify which may pose a problem. It would be nice if their customer service would reach out when these apps are no longer connected with your website.

Pros

For myself, I work with Shopify and my main concern was inventory coming over correctly. I liked that I could easy look up a SKU and see what stock was available vs what was actually available.

Cons

I had no part of the set up, but the main person who was responsible for launching this program had a very difficult time getting all the kinks sorted out. We are a small company that relies on every single sale, and we ran into months long delays with deployment. It's my understanding we were promised certain features and then when it came time to launch, it never happened.

Functional product that's easy to set up - great onboarding!

We needed to transition to a more robust order/inventory management system and Cin7 did it for us. Overall a powerful system with good set of primary core functions. Huge shoutout to the Cin7 team (DJ and Anthony) who went above and beyond in listening to our needs, providing ever-ready guidance and creating the suite of solutions which we currently run our business on. Their knowledge and expertise gave us confidence in implementing a successful go-live.

Pros

Order management features are intuitive and suited (to a good extent) to our needs - Cin7 developed transformation logics which helped us improve efficient business processes. Integrations with Shopify and our 3PL were easy to set up.

Cons

There were certain hardcoded features which could not be changed and any customisation/developments had a 6 month long queue.
