Alex E.: My name's Alex. I'm the founder of Slingshot Content. We're a B2B brand consulting and content marketing agency, and I would rate VEED a two out of five. Prior to using VEED, we were using Kapwing to edit our videos. And Kapwing is a pretty flexible tool, but the way we were using Kapwing was to take longer video clips from a webinar, an interview, a podcast, or even just a recording session, and we wanted to turn it into smaller clips that we would drop into a template to share on social media. Unfortunately, Kapwing doesn't have a great workflow for that. When you trim the videos, you have to drag it, which is tough if you have an hour long video, especially in a browser-based application that's not rendering as quickly. Then you have to export the video, reimport the video, and there's not a good template system in there. So each time you're duplicating a project, deleting a video, reinserting your trimmed video, and then trying to bring your intro slide and your conclusion slide, you're trying to smash it together like a sandwich, and it's just a horribly ineffective workflow. It would take us a whole day, eight-plus hours to edit. One 60-minute clip may be into five or six shorter clips, and that's why we were looking for another solution in VEED. So we decided to start working in VEED for a couple of different reasons. One, it was going to reduce the number of tools we needed to use to record these interview sessions with our clients and then turn them into smaller clips. And it had a better workflow, so we were able to move through more quickly. So the way we were able to reduce tools is because VEED had a feature called VEED Live. It also had... it was called like record a podcast, is how you could use it. So I could send my client a link that they would join, and so they would join there. We would record it directly in VEED, that was our recording tool. And then I could go take that recording all within the VEED platform and start making clips from it, which I'll get into in a minute. So that was really nice because previously I had to use another tool called Riverside FM to record the video clip itself, and then I would take that to Kapwing. So VEED was nice that we were able to reduce the number of tools we had to use. So that was the first reason. And then from there, I had a really nice workflow. I could take that hour long clip, and they had basically what was called create a clip feature. And so what it do is it would transcribe the entire interview, would come out to a transcript and it was pretty accurate, and you could collect or create clips by highlighting the transcript for the clip you wanted to take out. So if it's an hour long video, I could scan for a section where I said, "Clip one, take two," and I could just look to where I saw that. I could even control F search. And then I would highlight my client talking and just hit create a clip and it would create a clip for me that I could then drop easily into another template with a great template feature they had. And so what was an eight-hour plus workflow for us, recording on a tool, exporting from the tool, importing into Kapwing, trimming, exporting, reimporting into templates, fixing the template, and then exporting. We were able to record within VEED, highlight the clips on the transcript that it made right there, drop those into a template, and it reduced our overall workflow from about eight hours to four hours while reducing the number of tools that we had to use. So that was the reason we decided to move to VEED Initially. Getting started with VEED overall was pretty easy. There were a couple of little glitches in the platform you had to get around, but that's to be expected with any tool or always some little nuances or bugs you got to just get used to or build into your workflow. But other than that, the tool's really straightforward. They had some nice templates in there that you could then edit and repurpose, so it matched your branding. I think I was able to get everything set up in VEED within two hours, and that was like a self-guided onboarding, me just poking around. And from there we were able to start using the product like we had hoped to. If you're considering VEED, I would make sure that you get into the platform and really make sure that the features you want are going to be in there. We had switched to VEED for that podcast record and transcription feature, and that feature was removed without more than maybe a week's notice from VEED. And when the feature was discontinued, a core part of their product, after it had been removed, it was still being advertised on their homepage. So you can imagine after we had switched tools from Kapwing to VEED, built a whole new workflow, trained our team on it, it was pretty frustrating when this thing disappeared with just a couple of days heads up. Not only that, but the videos we had in there were going to be deleted, and I only figured this out because I reached out to support when I saw a little banner in the app saying that the product was discontinued. Say likewise, if you need to do a lot of video trimming, if you're going to take an hour long clip and turn it into smaller clips, VEED no longer has that transcription clip tool that was originally part of the VEED podcast tool, and they frankly did a very poor job communicating that to their customers. So if you're going to use VEED, it still has some nice template features, but I will get into the product and make sure it's going to have the features that you need before committing to a purchase.

Koen: Hi, my name is Koen. I'm a vegan health coach and I give VEED a four out of five rating. And for more reviews, just like this click below. Before I was using VEED I was just using a bunch of random apps. Literally, I tried so many different ones on my phone. I tried different editors, like the ones that pre-installed on windows, but they just really weren't all like... I would say the ones on the phone they're pretty easy to use, but they also obviously come with less features. So, I just needed something that I could use on my laptop, which doesn't really have a lot of working power, that is easy to use for someone who isn't really into editing. And I stumbled on the VEED because a person that I know who was using it. And he said, "You really got to try this out." And so I did, and yeah, to my surprise it actually works really well. So for me, all the reasons why I chose VEED is because primarily I needed something that was just very easy to use. I wasn't able to install heavy editing software, like Adobe or anything like that. So, I just needed something that I could quickly use to basically edit little podcast samples that I was hosting, making little clips and one feature that I really like, which are able to do with VEED is the subtitle feature. And that was something that I wasn't really finding in other spots or that I had to use multiple softwares for. And that just got so complicated and, yeah, that's basically what I'm using it for. I think at the beginning it took me a little bit of a learning curve to understand all the different features and the different buttons and what everything meant. But the good part is that you can have all these presets and just copy basically your old designs into your new designs, where you have your text editor at the same spot and using the same design and using the same format. So, you then just have to plug in basically your new video, whatever it is that you're editing. And that's it, which saves you a lot of time in editing work and just made it really convenient. So, it took a little bit of time to get used to it, but once you do it is very easy. As far as I know, I've always been you using the free version, and it gives you plenty of options. So there wouldn't really be any reason why not to just give it a go and try it out. If you're someone like me who doesn't really want to get deep into graphic design or get deep into video editing, I want something that is pretty intuitive to use, simple to use, it doesn't require a lot of skill or effort to get it going. Then I would definitely recommend checking out VEED.

-1, waste of time, impossible to get any help. Do not recommend wasting your time with this company!!
I liked the program until I hadf an issue logging in, impossible to get anny help at all.
Do not waste your time, no support or cusomer service, they do noit answer questions and basically ignor any problems you have. I was satisified with the program until I ran into an issue and there AI responses are a mess and noi help. After 5 frustrating days of trying to get help, I canceled. Forget calling the numvber on the billing, it is busy 24/7.

I would definitely use this software for free if it is for a short video for youtube upload, school assignments, or for fun. If you are expecting a professional outcome, you might want to subscribe their plan.
Easy to use, they have a lot of menus, perks, and effects to easily put it into your video. Various choices to enhance your video.
Although they have a lot lot lot effects and musics to use for free, you still have to pay for a plan in order to use more better quality options.

It was easy to add music that was good and get the elements that I brought in from Canva timed and animated correctly. The automatic subtitle generator worked well and was easy to edit to correct any mistakes and customize it. I could style the one Hebrew font well to get shadow and outline and change the color, size, and position of the font.
Seriously? Only 1 actual font style option in Hebrew with NO option to bring in my own fonts which I would be happy to do except they wanted us to pay for an even more expensive plan than the $70 per month plan we had already subscribed to. I think this is ridiculous and unacceptable. 3 different customer service reps emailed me back saying tough luck and that I should pay more money to get more than 1 font.

If I could give a negative score I would, but I can't. The worst part is I have reached out to support several times and nothing has ever been resolved. They won't even give me a refund even though I am not able to use the software.
Nothing as I have not been able to create a video with this platform for the past 4 months due to the number of glitches.
The fact is I paid for a service and was not able to use it due to the countless glitches and the non-responsive support staff. Many features, but can't use them because the software is too slow?

Overall, Veed is an amazing video editing software but it can be slow a times. However, I believe this will be fixed by the product team, especially since they raised some funding.
What I like the most about Veed was how you can repurpose 1 video into different formats like shorts for youtube or 1:1 videos for LinkedIn. They're really good at this.
For long videos above 10 minutes, the software if very slow even if you have a strong computer and a good connection. That is as of now, the biggest problem I had so far. Otherwise, other things are flawless.

The frustration and the inability to contact anyone to fix a problem is annoying. Again, please do not trust your content with them. They will continue to charge you while not responding to requests for fixing a billing issue.
It is a very easy-to-use and customer-friendly software that we primarily use for creating translated subtitles.
Do not put important content on this site. We have been charged and paid a monthly subscription fee. Out of the blue, our account went to the free status, and we lost months of video content. You can't get any answers as their support bot says support is only available to paid accounts. So, there is no way to get problems resolved.

Everything went well when I first subscribed and the platform was okay to use. When the renewal was up, veed.io took two random payments from my card. When I disputed the charges they told me I will get a refund. Instead the next day they charged me a random amount again. In the end I overpaid by 700% percent.I had to block my card to stop it, the support is not being helpful.
It looked easy to use but it turned out to be a scam
They kept randomly charging my card, promised me a refund but instead they charged me more.

I use the software to record tutorial screen videos about our system and guide users
The software does not require any installation while making a recording of the screen or an event. It is fast and works perfectly fine even on poor internet connection
It is expensive to use in case you need to go with editing options or in case you need to remove the branding of VEED from the recorded videos

I really want to love this software because it offers a lot of amazing built in features and the UI is user friendly
Basically unusable because it's incredibly laggy, freezes constantly. I've been spending six hours trying to edit one minute of video because it buffers forever or can't save or can't load anything and crashes.Fix your product! Or give us a desktop version that doesn't require your apparently trash processing!

This software has the potential to be really good, there are a lot of great features that are helpful in creating content that will trend online.
There are so many bugs. So many. It always crashes at least 5 times whenever I try to make a clip, and all my clips are between 30-40 seconds, I'm not editing huge chunks of footage here. Sometimes when I upload my video it won't appear at all, the screen will just be black. The only way to fix this is to erase the project and start over and keep trying until the video shows up. Other times it'll crash just when I'm trying to splice the footage, or zoom in on the timeline. It is nuts. I was excited about this software when I first found it because it had all the features I needed, but I just cannot use it anymore as it negatively impacts my productivity. Maybe I'll come back in a year or so and see if the bugs are fixed. Do not waste your money on this, seriously. They charge a ridiculous amount for something that is not passed the beta stage.

Overall, it's $40/person/month for the software. At the price point per user, I would think that they could afford a beta-tester or two before rolling out updates that don't function. On the whole, I'd say we're lucky if it works 50% without any major issues. When it does work, it's a lot of fun to use. The animations and sound effects make for really engaging reels and the video editing tools, while basic, are pretty solid. The final verdict for me is this: until they can offer an experience that isn't so riddled with bugs that it slows down production time by about 50%, it's not worth investing in. Once they create a more solid platform, I would be interested to see what it can do.
Has some great stock footage, animated stickers and other fun additions readily available. It also comes with some great stock audio, some fun templates and generally a lot of tools to create some engaging content.
There are so many bugs it's insane. Often the bugs will render the software totally unusable for hours at a time, with customer service offering up solutions like "just wait it out" or "turn off your antivirus". It's also only to be used with Chrome if you want any chance of being able to use it.

Overall experience is just amazing with VEED. Editing videos online makes my day-to-day life easy. I don't need to download big software for editing videos anymore.
The Subtitles and text-adding feature is the best in VEED. I am able to make my videos more descriptive and interesting for my viewers. This feature makes my videos great.
There is nothing to dislike about VEED. Every feature works properly. More Stock videos should be added otherwise, everything is okay.

Veed.io organized a referral campaign claiming that they will reward users 1 month PRO plan for every new user they invite to the platform. I'm working in a video production company and I invited more than 10 people and spent hours onboarding my colleagues one by one. I made them disable ad-blockers before clicking my referral link, made them upload a footage, edit it and then export. I was literally like a on-field support team for Veed the whole day. However, Veed returned the favour by not rewarding my well-deserved PRO plan of one year claiming that they can not track how many people registered through my referral link. I even contacted their customer service and told them I could give a list of people who registered through my referral link but they chose not to help. So Veed used people like me for free marketing. And they succeeded.
Video editing, live stream recording, subtitling.
Veed's customer service is not really helpful when you need it.

I love it, but also get frustrated with it! If it was more stable I honestly couldn't fault it.
I like that I can film, edit and subtitle all in one program instead of the multiple programs I was using previously. You have the ability to clean your audio, add transitions, additional media, stickers, etc so it has alot of options for editing purposes. When the software is working well without bugs its a great asset.
It feels buggy at times. I film a video and it just never uploads even if you leave it overnight and its only 60 seconds long. If it does upload sometimes when you search for it in the future it just no longer exists which results in needing to film again. Subtitles are buggy, can take hours to upload subtitles for a short video (if it actually works) but other videos of the same length is almost instant. No room for mistakes, if I accidentally delete a part of my video it cannot be recovered, confirmed by fiverr team.

Not a great experience. Sad to leave, but if I can't do my work quickly and it takes longer than it should...Well, there are other options out there for me. Time is everything, and if it takes 30 minutes for a 5 min video? Yeah no. I can't do that.
It was easy in the beginning, and it made my life easier.
Everything crashes, and it lags like crazy. I pay almost $80 per month for this to not work as it should. Customer service is great and always on top of it. However, that only goes so far. They have tried everything, and in the end, this software doesn't meet my needs anymore.

Terrible, would not recommend - if anything, would encourage users to find an alternative platform, even if it costs a little more...this is NOT worth your time or money.
Initially, the software was really easy to use, intuitive and thoughtfully designed. The cost seemed worth the functionality.
The software crashes every time you zoom in on the timeline, restricting the ability to edit (cut, copy, move) clips. I reached out to tech support immediately and they were unable to resolve the issue. They requested I take detailed notes on the issue....but as a payer customer, my role is the use a working platform; not run their tech development and reminding them to fix a major issue.

Can't imagine working without it anymore! <3 Also, the service is fantastic, they even got on a Skype call with me to find a solution for my oversized files.
It saves me SO much time and is extremely easy to use! I create loads of study material for Youtube, Instagram and TikTok to teach German as a foreign language. All my content has subtitles and it is a huge effort to enter it manually, especially because our language has capital nouns. It is the only software I found that can transcribe capitals automatically. I LOVE IT!
At first, I couldn't transcribe my Youtube videos of about 15-20 minutes because the file was too big. But I just render the video down to the lowest quality and Veed can transcribe it easily. It lets you download the transcript to upload it on Youtube.

Veed allows for subtitling, editing, effct/text encoding, and many more advanced features that other editors just can't compete with. The free version is wonderful, but the Pro version is beyond perfect. Keep in mind that this a browser editor we're talking about and the level of quality that Veed allows is stunning and a complete game changer at worst. Their small team is involved and completely dedicated on a personal level, it really gives you the feeling that your subscription money isn't being gobbled up by a scummy corporation, but used to help the people who care about their genuinely amazing product.
The only problem I ever ran into was selecting the time frames for trimming videos and adding text. It's TOO precise. Your only option is to enter time stamps directly into the UI which can be extremely time consuming to hunt down.

I had tried tons of other online editors on the market and been disappointed. There were always features missing or if they were all there then the actual editor would be glitchy. With VEED I haven't experienced any issues with the videos I create on there. It has everything I need in one place such as the progress bar for my 1-minute clips, auto transcriptions for all my video content, and custom fonts for consistency in my visual branding. It's affordable and a must for every content creator and brand out there who needs to make more polished and accessible video content for their users.
• Clear, pleasant, & simple to navigate user-interface • Progress bar animations • Auto transcriptions • Custom font upload
So far nothing, it does everything I need.
