Pros

I wanted to love WordPress. It has so many great features and integrations and its very affordable.
If you are a person who has many thoughts that you would like to publish or perhaps you like fashion and want to show that interest, then WorldPress is your best friend.
WordPress is really an amazing content management system, that allows you to build stunning and amazing websites within few hours.

Pros

Duda is a great platform which fits my clients’ needs and has awesome support, great features, webinars and a huge resource center.
Outstanding experience so far with several websites live for clients. Tech support is the best in the biz that Ive experienced anywhere.
I'm happy to be working with it. I find the customer support is great.

Cons

As a result, I'm forced to disapprove and delete spam comments individually, and when you get hundreds of these kind of spam comments each week, you can imagine that it can be frustrating.
Wordpress is really limited in its features and functionalities. More than that, the support for customers is bad.
We've found ourselves stalled out badly with problems at times because a theme or plugin had terrible support.

Cons

Some menu's appear slightly offscreen depending on where they are, this can be frustrating.
However, sometimes it is difficult to create very unique websites that stray far from the template, because the formatting is sometimes hard to work with.
Got to know duda from their promotional ads, tried and disliked it.

Way Too Much Headache

Reviewed 3 months ago

Always a headache. It always takes 10 times longer and is always much more expensive to develop a proper great looking website that is fast on all platforms with no bugs then the competitors such as Wix/Duda/Shopify etc.

Pros

I think the biggest pro for Wordpress is the flexibility it offers. You can do just about anything you want with it however, thats where the pro's stop for me.

Cons

Just about everything is a con for me with Wordpress. I will add the caveat that I am not a professional Wordpress developer or anything like that however I have been designing websites for over 15 years now and have worked on everything from Wix to Duda to Shopify to Squarespace etc. and Wordpress is by far the most complicated, most difficult, has the most bugs, and is just overall cumbersome to use. I work with professional web developers who use Wordpress and the process always takes 10 times longer and the results are never as good as if we use something like Duda or Wix. Also the speeds are never as good as those sites either and take much more labor (thus more expense) to make a Wordpress site optimized.

The value in not using Wordpress.

I am an agency who is transitioning from Wordpress to Duda.

Pros

SO much easier to us Duda vs. Wordpress. Sites load 10x faster, you can see and edit before publishing live. Site building is much faster and clients can even make updates as the platform is very easy to use.

There are a few limitations but there is more than enough there to build a nice website

Does what most CMS cannot

Reviewed 2 years ago

With Duda I no longer have to do everything myself. It is easy enough to allow clients to change and upload content when they want to. There are no worries about the white screen of death with WordPress when you update a plugin. Also the personalization and analytics they provide skip having to use data studio and what not.

Pros

I tried all the different CMS platforms. I mean almost all of them. And nothing was quite as simple as Duda for my web design agency. They are specialized in this niche so if you are planning on starting a web design agency look no further ✊

Cons

Not enough apps to add to your sites as WordPress has. Lack of membership site capability.

Great agency website solution

Reviewed 2 years ago

We chose Duda to replace Squarespace websites as a faster, lower-cost option compared to WordPress. It's been great for us and has allowed us to very quickly create professional websites without any of the overhead work or maintenance of WordPress. Much more flexible and powerful than Squarespace or Wix, easy to white label, easy to train clients on.

Pros

It's built for an agency's needs: easy to use for clients, fast to work in for designers, has the ability to edit the actual code easily if necessary, and is built decently for SEO. There are plenty of good starter templates and everything is very customizable.

Cons

The templates are basically built with 5 breakpoints and if your device isn't in one of those, it might look a bit off and there's nothing you can do about it. I think the builder also generates quite messy CSS but that tends to be the case with WYSIWYG like this. The form builder could be greatly improved as well.

Easy to use

Reviewed 2 years ago

Duda allows me to create a website that looks great in half the time I would spend on Wordpress. It's a reliable platform.

Pros

Very easy to use. For simple websites, there's no need to install all those plugins that often cause issues and need to be updated all the times. The templates look great. The backup is included. The websites are rarely down.

Cons

When you do need to install a plugin for a feature that is not included in the Duda widgets, it gets tricky though. I wish they would cover a few more widgets, like a calendar and a booking system.

Incredibly Fast

Reviewed 2 years ago

It has me very intrigued. I know every builder has pros and cons, but I'm looking forward to spending more time with it, and may switch from Wordpress.

Pros

It is capable of spitting out quality sites in a very short amount of time. I usually just deal with the headaches and clunkiness of other builders, but the speed and ease has me rethinking what I default to.

Cons

Basic is a little bit more expensive than some other builders, but that's the only complaint I could really come up with.

Pros

Duda promises to replace Wordpress and other platforms for agencies needing to create a websites for clients, and it does help with that. The interface is easy to use.

Cons

Oh How I Love me some Duda!

Reviewed 2 years ago

My experience has been fantastic. I was only disappointed when the mobile builder was removed but I guess that is progress. I love Duda. Its been only a year for me using the platform but I still get excited when I login to build a website. This platform was well developed. i just hope the standard and pace of development doesn't drop.

Pros

How robust and stable it is. A lot can be accomplished with the website builder. I am not a Developer but yet I would be able to develop beautiful fully functional websites on my own. Over the time that I have been using Duda I have never had any system issues so its very stable, which is very important!

Cons

Its getting there but it doesn't have all the features that I or my clients would need or want. With Wordpress you could search for and find a plugin, not with this software.

Duda is a pleasant surprise!

Reviewed a year ago

Probably about the best low-code website builder we've used -- we haven't had time to test it's form gathering or CMS capabilities -- the HTML editor is perhaps only matched by Versoly. The learning curve is also much better than Webflow with comparable results.

Pros

We accidentally discovered Duda while researching low-code platforms, as it is mostly targeted to use by marketing agencies -- it's a very pleasant low-code platform -- fast, clean, productive.

Cons

A subtlety that most others would miss -- we index websites, and the means by which Duda publishes text content and image content makes it harder to index than sites built on platforms such as WordPress.

Avoid this CMS

Reviewed a year ago

It's clunky and limiting and hasn't led to any growth. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone starting a new website.

Pros

On the surface, it's very easy to use for someone with very basic website skills. If you want a basic website with pretty easy drag and drop features, then Duda could work. The absolute best part is the site speed scores you get with Duda.

Cons

It's not very good for SEO and doesn't offer much flexibility for a more advanced user. The SEO features are very limited and do not give you all the options you can get with WordPress or Drupal. It's also not open source, which is a huge downside for any CMS. There also aren't many integrations available for Duda.

The Best Builder by Far

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

It's quite simply the best website builder available. I have used Wix, Godaddy and Wordpress and nothing comes close. It's so easy to use, and once you get the hang of it, the sky's the limit. It's packed with features that you would normally have to pay extra for. Duda include them all. The biggest bonus is the free ssl certificate which is a dream to install.

Cons

My only beef would be customer care. Working in Africa and not being able to get support until America wakes up. Generally speaking the support is good, always friendly, patient staff manning the chat.

A great white label solution for agencies

Reviewed 2 years ago

I'm very pleased with Duda! I was tired of dealing with Wordpress - it's too complicated and I'm not a developer. This is an inexpensive solution that I can offer my clients who are just starting out or don't have a big budget to get a website. I'm able to provide them with a gorgeous, modern website that helps them convert visitors into customers. Big thumbs up!

Pros

It's easy to use and provides nearly everything a company could want for a nice looking website. I like the templates and they continue to add more of everything - templates, features, etc. It has helped me grow my business.

Cons

Some things are restrictive, like the ecommerce solution and the blog, but it's getting better. The customer service has lagged a bit since I started with them a couple of years ago, and I guess it's due to growing pains. Still, they respond and are helpful.

Finally!

Reviewed 2 years ago

We're a small branding and marketing company and we don't usually have super large budgets to design, develop and deliver websites. Duda helps us do that with very little complexity. It's a streamlined platform that delivers the punch and impact of more complex environments but without all of the junk that no one really needs or wants. The ease of implementation makes it possible for us to be more efficient and cost-effective on website builds.

Pros

Duda is an incredibly easy platform to work with and produce really solid websites and engaging experiences. I've worked on Wordpress (always hated it), Joomla, Drupal, Kentico, DotNet Nuke, and other platforms, but Duda is the ONLY platform I have found that makes it incredibly easy to go from design to live site with so little friction. The WYSIWYG ease of implementation has increased our profitability and productivity. It's an awesome platform and I highly recommend you check it out. You will be glad you did.

Cons

The toughest thing about using Duda is that clients and prospective clients these days ask what platform you're going to build in and since so many have heard of Wordpress it take a lot to get them to feel comfortable with the switch to Duda. Once I walk them through the back end to demonstrate the CMS they usually have an "Aha!" moment and get on board.

Saves on time, loads faster, love the load balancing aspect of it. Takes out so many things that I used to worry about building it in a Wordpress, PHP environment.

Easy Website Creator for All Levels

Reviewed 2 months ago

Duda is very cost effective solution for getting websites built and launched very quickly. The simplicity of the platform interface means you don't need a developer to build sites with Duda unless you want something very customized.

Pros

The Duda platform is an easy to use drag and drop type builder for responsive websites. The interface and controls don't require much learning to get comfortable with. The platform has a large variety widgets to cover most website functionality and has very user friendly settings for basic SEO info, Google Analytics linking and most of the other website essentials. The biggest strength of the platform is the dozens of ready-to-customize templates that the platform comes loaded with. With these you can publish your new website in a very short time.

Cons

With Duda your site is built and hosted on their proprietary platform. Since it's not based on any other popular CRM like WordPress this means that if you ever want to move your site it will not be an easy switch over. Duda does offer a site export function that captures most of the content on the site as HTML & CSS files but it doesn't include any blog data.

Collaboration with clients and team is a breeze!

Reviewed 2 years ago

I really like that I do not need to update or even think about them, when Duda makes a change it is automatic. I really grew tired of keeping everything up to date. My build time is much better and all my work is saved as I go. Really, for me, I am so used to using Duda now, I forget how much more efficient I am using it... until I log into an old Wordpress site. Duda is great for me, though I am sure it's not for everyone, I just happen to love it! I highly recommend.

Pros

I don't like Duda, I love Duda! It is so intuitive and simple! Working from one dash I can go through all my clients sites to make changes swiftly. I use many photos and I love the organizational tools for files. Duda optimizes images for me saving me time, and the page speed of the sites are great! There are many other things about Duda I appreciate!

Cons

Well nothing is perfect but I find everything I needed was there, some extra features would be great. It is comforting to see they are continually improving adding new, most desired features and those added are many times decided through community polls, they also listen to the needs of the community.
