What is XProtect?
Milestone Systems provides data-driven video technology that protects people and property and increases business efficiency. Milestone’s XProtect® video management software (VMS) platform is used in 500,000+ customer sites worldwide.
XProtect connects all an organization’s cameras, sensors and other hardware, giving users full control over their video technology installations. They can store, share, retrieve, display and analyze all their video footage in one place. It comes in five variants, ranging from XProtect Express for small businesses with only eight cameras, up to XProtect Corporate for large-scale, high-security and multi-site installations with unlimited devices.
XProtect is an open platform, so it can be configured and scaled as needed. Milestone offers a selection of extensions for XProtect that includes Smart Wall, a customizable video wall for control rooms, and XProtect® Rapid Review, a forensic video analytics tool.
XProtect users also have the option to integrate third-party software and hardware from Milestone’s 3,000+ Technology Partners. Popular integrations include access control, analytics, artificial intelligence, and motion, smoke and audio detection. XProtect is compatible with more than 13,000 devices. The Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) keeps all XProtect users up to date with security issues, news, patches and hotfixes.
XProtect is complemented by Milestone Kite cloud-delivered VMS and Milestone Husky IVO™ hardware. And it is supported by Milestone Care, a complete software maintenance and support program that takes care of the product throughout its lifetime.
