Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Annota overview
What is Annota?
Annota is a mobile application for iOS and Android designed for psychologists and psychotherapists in private practice. It converts post-session clinician voice dictations into structured, classified patient records using AI transcription and clinical vocabulary. Supported note formats include free-form, SOAP adapted for psychology, CBT, and first-session anamnesis templates. Cloud data is hosted in France on a certified HDS (Health Data Host) infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. An offline mode supports dictation and record consultation with automatic sync when connectivity is restored.
Beyond session notes, Annota covers intelligent document scanning with OCR and automatic filing, unlimited patient records organized in chronological timelines, and pre-session 5-line follow-up summaries generated from the patient's record history. A natural-language search function queries the full patient record and returns cited, source-dated answers. Full patient record export is available in PDF and archive formats at any time, supporting data portability.
The platform is built around a practitioner-validation model: no content enters the patient record without explicit clinician review and approval. Patient audio is never recorded; only post-session clinician dictations are processed, and audio files are deleted automatically after validation. Patient data is not used to train AI models. GDPR compliance is built in, with tooling that includes a DPA contract, configurable data retention periods, consent forms, an access log, and biometric app lock via Face ID or fingerprint. Annota targets solo and group private practices in France operating under French and European health data regulations.
