Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Apyguard overview
What is Apyguard?
ApyGuard is an API security testing platform built on a code-first discovery architecture: it parses backend source code to identify every exposed endpoint, generates OpenAPI documentation from what it finds, and runs automated security testing against the resulting inventory — before the API reaches production.
Discovery And Inventory
ApyGuard discovers endpoints directly from source code, with support for FastAPI, Django, Flask, Express, and NestJS backends. Discovered endpoints are compiled into a continuously updated API inventory that includes shadow endpoints missing from existing specs — a common byproduct of AI-assisted development with Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code. Complementary discovery inputs include a real-time traffic analyzer, a Chrome extension for capture-based discovery, and direct OpenAPI spec import. OpenAPI documentation is generated and kept in sync automatically.
Security Testing
Test coverage spans the full OWASP API Security Top 10, with emphasis on the authorization flaws that drive most real-world API breaches: broken object-level authorization (BOLA), broken function-level authorization (BFLA), broken object property-level authorization (BOPLA), and broken authentication. The engine generates attack payloads tailored to each API's schema and role model rather than generic fuzzing, and applies behavioral analysis and business-logic testing beyond schema validation. Behavior profiling establishes normal API patterns and surfaces anomalies in real time. Findings are ranked by exploitability and include remediation guidance; scans can run on demand or on a schedule.
Integrations And Workflow
CI/CD security gates: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, with configurable pass/fail thresholds
Development workflow: GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins
Ticketing and notifications: Jira, Slack
API tooling: Postman, OpenAPI import/export
Dashboards for risk posture, vulnerability trends, and endpoint-level insight
Vulnerability management with team collaboration and security reporting
Findings mapped to OWASP, GDPR, and PCI DSS requirements for compliance and audit reporting
Deployment and Data Handling
ApyGuard runs as cloud SaaS, with on-premise deployment available for organizations with data residency or isolation requirements. For editor-level work, APIScout - ApyGuard's free VS Code extension, also published on Open VSX for Cursor and Windsurf - performs endpoint discovery and OpenAPI generation entirely locally: no source code leaves the developer's machine, and no account is required.
Editions And Pricing
Pricing is public and self-serve. A seven-day free trial requires no credit card. Basic starts at $129/month (endpoint-limited), Professional at $299/month with higher endpoint and scan capacity plus advanced profiling and monitoring, and Enterprise adds unlimited endpoints and scans, dedicated support, and advanced reporting on custom terms. Annual billing includes two months free.
ApyGuard fits teams that need continuous API security testing without the deployment weight of traffic-mirroring platforms or enterprise contract minimums: connect a repository or import a spec, run the first scan the same day, and gate releases on results from CI
