Auction-Experts is a white-label auction platform built for established auction houses that sell online, on the floor, or both. Since 1999 the platform has processed millions of bids for auctioneers across Europe in art and antiques, insolvency and liquidation, audiovisual and broadcast equipment, wine and whisky, and cars, machinery and transport.

The platform covers the full auction lifecycle in one system: consignor and lot intake, cataloguing and valuation, condition reports and media, publication, bidding, hammer, invoicing, payment and settlement to the consignor. Auction houses run timed online auctions, live auctions with an auctioneer and online bidding in the room, and hybrid formats, each with their own bid steps, buyer premiums, VAT and margin schemes, and multi-currency pricing.

Core capabilities

- Bid engine: proxy and maximum bidding, automatic and configurable bid increments, reserve prices, soft close and staggered lot closing, buy now, offers, and after-sale.

- Back-office manager: lot intake and batch import, catalogue building, consignor contracts and commission rules, buyer premium and fee models, invoicing and credit notes, settlements, and reporting.

- Website and white-label apps: your brand, your domain, your design. Storefronts and native iOS and Android apps are delivered under the auction house's own identity, not ours.

- Bidder experience: registration and KYC-style approval flows, watchlists, saved searches, outbid and closing notifications by email and push, and multilingual interfaces.

- Content and catalogue: categories, attributes and filters per segment, media handling with a CDN, and translation of catalogue content.

Architecture and integrations

Two documented REST APIs - one for catalogue and auction data, one for bidding and transactions - let you build your own front end on top of the platform or connect it to the systems you already run. An event system streams auction, bidder and bid events out to your CRM or data warehouse for bidder profiling and marketing. Standard integrations cover payment service providers, accounting and invoicing, shipping and logistics partners, and email and marketing platforms. An MCP layer is available for AI-assisted work against the platform data; customer-facing AI features are in development.

Hosting and security

The platform runs on Microsoft Azure with per-tenant data separation, scaled for the traffic peaks that closing lots produce. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect with role-based access for staff, and the platform supports GDPR obligations for bidder data. Monitoring, backups and release management are handled by our team, so your staff do not carry the technical risk.

Commercial model

Auction-Experts is licensed for a fixed fee. There is no commission on your hammer price and no revenue share, so your margin stays yours as volume grows. Implementation is a guided project with our team: data migration, design, integrations, staff training and go-live support.
