CanShip is warehouse and shipping software for Canadian brands that ship their own orders and for 3PLs. One system covers receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping labels and returns.

What it does

Receiving and inventory: stock is scanned in on a phone, with lot numbers, expiry dates and damage photos, and tracked by warehouse and bin.

Orders: a Shopify order is in your queue seconds after checkout, with stock reserved for it. CanShip can keep the store's stock count current, so the store does not sell what is not on the shelf.

Picking and packing: pick in batches on a phone. At the packing bench, a scan that is not on the order is refused.

Shipping: every order is quoted across your own carrier accounts, and CanShip adds no fee per label. When an order has a promised delivery date, the rate screen marks each service in time or late and picks the cheapest one that arrives in time. Buying the label marks the order fulfilled in the store and sends the tracking number.

Returns: processed in the same system, unit by unit, with a reason and photos.

Sales channels: Shopify on every plan, and Extensiv Integration Manager on Grow and up.

Carriers: Canada Post, UPS, FleetOptics, UniUni, Stallion Express, and the carriers in your ShipStation account.

What it costs

Starter: $99 CAD a month for 500 shipments. One brand, one warehouse, Shopify.

Grow: $299 CAD a month for 3,000 shipments. Unlimited clients and warehouses.

Pro: $999 CAD a month for 15,000 shipments. Adds a read-only login for each client.

Every plan includes every carrier and a 14-day trial.

Who makes it

CanShip was built by a team that runs its own 3PL in Metro Vancouver, and that warehouse ships client orders through it every day. Hosted in Canada.
