CloudQuell overview

What is CloudQuell?

CloudQuell is a cloud financial operations management platform that provides unified cost visibility, allocation, and optimization across multiple cloud and AI service providers. The platform consolidates billing data from Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Snowflake into a single normalized ledger. It enables finance teams, FinOps practitioners, and engineering organizations to track every dollar of cloud spending at the resource level while maintaining complete cost center attribution through native tagging and rule based allocation. The system delivers daily cost ingestion that normalizes billing data into a unified schema and display currency, reconciling accounts and regions billed in different local currencies into consolidated reporting.

The platform employs per service baselines and statistical alerting to detect cost anomalies on the day they occur rather than weeks after invoice receipt. Allocation and chargeback functionality attributes expenditures by account, environment, team, or custom tag and supports export to NetSuite, Sage, or comma separated value formats. Continuous measurement of tag coverage is supplemented by rule based virtual tags that route untagged, mistagged, and shared spend to appropriate cost centers, ensuring reconciliation covers the entire bill. Forecasting capabilities generate trend aware projections for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods, surfacing budget variance before it appears in executive reporting.

The savings engine derives recommendations directly from cost and usage reports and the Amazon Web Services Cost Optimization Hub, ranking opportunities by dollar impact across rightsizing, idle resources, and reserved instances and savings plans optimization. Recommendations include AI generated explanations that detail assumptions, reasoning, and rollback procedures. Anomaly alerts integrate with collaboration channels and org wide rollups provide leadership visibility into realized savings.

Integration with Amazon Web Services requires only a scoped read only identity and access management cross account assume role with an external identifier, eliminating the need for agents, write access, or platform migration. The platform ingests billing reports from customer object storage buckets daily with initial analytics available on the same day as connection. Azure and Google Cloud Platform integrations are in private beta while Anthropic, OpenAI, and Snowflake integrations are in general availability. Data in transit is protected by transport layer security and data at rest is encrypted with advanced encryption standard using cloud provider managed keys. Logical tenant isolation per organization ensures auditable access trails and the platform is pursuing SOC Two Type One certification with an expected completion in two thousand twenty six.
