Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Devirt overview
What is Devirt?
Devirt is a cloud-based analysis service that recovers readable program logic from binaries protected by software virtualizers and obfuscators. Analysts upload a file they are authorized to analyze via an account portal; Devirt identifies the protection layer, agrees the scope and price before work begins, and delivers recovered outputs remotely. Supported protectors include VMProtect 2.x and 3.x, Themida, Enigma Protector, Obsidium, Loki VM, and JavaScript VM obfuscation. Analysis is structured as discrete stages: unpacking for eligible packers, deobfuscation where supported transformations apply, and devirtualization of virtualized functions. No self-hosted or locally run deployment is required.
Every protected function is tracked in a coverage ledger before recovery begins and reported in one of four proof states: proven, runtime-dependent, unresolved, or permanently bounded. Eligible operations receive formal verification checks before classification as proven; a counterexample or timeout is never counted as proof. Outputs are delivered in multiple formats for direct use in existing toolchains: an IDA database (.i64) with proven functions, named imports, and typed API calls; annotated pseudocode (.c) with semantic naming and function-level commentary; LLVM IR (.ll) for compatible toolchains; an API JSON for automated pipelines; and a full reverse engineering report (.pdf) covering architecture, behavior, and an executive summary. Standard automated jobs carry a 24-hour SLA; eligible express jobs a 1-hour SLA; novel engagements involving senior review are scoped at 72 to 168 hours.
Devirt serves reverse engineering consultancies, malware analysts, incident responders, vulnerability researchers, software owners recovering logic from their own protected builds, interoperability engineers, supply-chain teams, and trust and safety teams. Additional analysis services cover software reverse engineering, protected binary analysis, malware analysis, anti-cheat driver auditing, and DRM architecture analysis. Files are analyzed in isolation and never shared between customers or used for training. Input files are deleted after delivery, with enterprise deletion certificates available on request. Confidentiality terms, EU data requirements, and exclusivity arrangements can be agreed before transfer. No automatic surcharges apply; any revised scope requires explicit approval before work proceeds.
