Document Generator is an HR document automation solution that creates personalised documents from SAP SuccessFactors data and Microsoft Word templates. It can use employee, job, company, country and other configured information without requiring HR users to copy the same data into each document.

The application supports three generation modes. An authorised user can create a document for an individual employee, generation can be triggered automatically as part of an HR process, or documents can be produced in bulk for a filtered employee population.

Bulk selection can use fields from SAP SuccessFactors Job Information and Personal Information. Administrators can configure, add, remove and reorder the available filters. This supports document generation across multiple companies, countries, organisational units, job assignments and legal entities.

Templates retain the organisation’s branding, structure, legal wording, formatting and language variants. Generated outputs can remain in DOCX format or be converted to PDF. Files can be distributed by email, stored in Microsoft SharePoint or Google Drive, or transferred to another configured system.

Optional electronic signature integrations include DocuSign, Evrotrust, Signi, Signosoft and SOFA. Documents can enter the signature process without manual downloading and re-uploading. Selected integrations support configurable signature-request validity and webhook-based follow-up processing after all parties have signed.

Document Generator uses standard SAP SuccessFactors object and data permissions, so users work only with authorised employee populations and information. Application MDF objects are secured, and users do not require privileged Admin API access. Sensitive technical credentials, including SharePoint certificates and access to PDF conversion, are stored securely in SAP BTP.
