What is Fastly?
Fastly is an edge cloud platform that aims to improve technical innovation capacity for websites like Airbnb, GitHub, Pinterest, Vimeo, The Guardian, and Ticketmaster. This application uses a CDN server infrastructure, and it is available in English, Japanese, Swedish, German, and Spanish. Website administrators can configure it to check visitor locations and fetch relevant content from a nearby PoP.
With PoPs spread across the globe, including 20 locations in North America, visitors enjoy fast responses anywhere. Account-holders benefit from universal HTTP-based media streaming protocols, including HLS, HDS, and MPEG-DASH.
With full configurable WAF, DDoS mitigation, intelligent bot protection, secure tokens for media access, advanced rate limiting, API protection, and DRM features, Fastly offers enterprise-grade security. It can also purge everything in the cache in 150 ms or less and comes with video caching support.
