What is Field-PM?
Field PM is a cloud based construction project management software designed for general contractors, specialty trade contractors, and field service companies active in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, piping, and structural steel sectors. The platform supports projects ranging from small residential renovations to large industrial constructions. As a progressive web application it functions offline and across devices so field crews capture data on site and managers receive real time visibility into project status.
The software centralizes daily field reports, superintendent reports, project level dashboards, and executive level dashboards. Foreman reports record manhours by trade and cost code, unit quantities installed, equipment usage, photographs, and field directives. Superintendent reports aggregate foreman data and incorporate materials tracking, subcontractor logs, safety issues, scope changes, and weather conditions. The project dashboard displays report statuses, productivity metrics, budget comparisons, and a Gantt style schedule with task dependencies and a lookahead window. The executive dashboard provides cross project portfolio oversight with health ratings, labor performance indicators, financial summaries, and gain and fade analysis.
Quality and safety modules streamline compliance and inspection workflows. Inspection logs support punch lists, nonconformance tracking, hold points, and deficiency resolution with exportable PDF reports. The safety module logs hazard observations, toolbox talks, incident investigations, job safety analyses, personal protective equipment checks, and OSHA recordable incident statistics with OSHA form three hundred log generation. Weld mapping includes visual weld layouts, work procedure libraries, welder continuity tracking, nondestructive evaluation logs per ASME codes, work pack management, and turnover data book creation. The documentation suite manages submittals registers, drawing revisions with markup tools, meeting minutes, transmittals, closeout progress, and in application PDF annotations tied to revision history.
Billing and financial forecasting features integrate schedule of values and cost code invoicing with retainage tracking, AIA G seven hundred and two and G seven hundred and three progress pay applications, and automated budget based calculations. Forecasting tools include S curve analysis, manpower loading projections, cash flow forecasting, and full Gantt timeline scheduling. Crew and equipment management modules track workforce assignments, subcontractor contracts, equipment rosters, utilization rates, and daily costs. Add on modules extend functionality to time and materials billing with overtime allocation from field reports, sales pipeline and estimate builder tools, service dispatch with work order management and mobile technician application, tool and fleet tracking with barcode and GPS integration, and time clock with geofenced clock in and payroll ready exports. The platform also offers AI powered data import from spreadsheets and documents, integration with cloud storage via Microsoft Graph API, payroll and accounting system synchronization, and a secure read only portal for owner access to project documents and reports.
