Trello overview

Trello is a collaboration tool that organizes your projects into card and boards. In one glance, you can see what's being worked on, who's working on it, and which members and files are associated with each task. Boards are made up of multiple cards, and cards and boards can be organized into Trello Organizations.

Cards can represent a bug, a story lead, a legal case, a client, research for a paper, a potential employee, a customer support issue. or whatever you like. Cards can be moved from list to list, and board to board, to indicate progression. Board members can add themselves to cards, start conversations on cards, create checklists on cards, get notifications and more.

Trello uses cards to allow you to organize your projects and day-to-day work. It can be used on an individual level as well as to collaborate with team members. Trello can be used not only to manage projects and tasks, but can also be used as a lesson planner, a community bulletin, or an idea repository.

Use Trello's cards to note to-dos and ideas and then organize these cards in lists and categories. Use these cards to track the progress of your tasks. See a quick overview on the front of your cards and flip to the back for more detailed information such as due dates, checklists, attachments, comments and more.

Use the progress meter or add a checklist to manage your to-do list. Attach files, images and documents yo your cards. Use customizable labels and filter by keywords or person to easily find cards.

See a historical record of all movements in Trello including comments, changes, and additions. Get email notification and see an activity log of all the cards you have subscribed to.

Create a board to share cards with whoever you have invited to your board. Invite as many people as you like and each board member has the ability to add cards. make changes, upload attachments and more.

Board members can vote on cards to establish priorities and assign cards to board members. Keep all your boards and people in the one place by creating a Trello organization.

As a project manager and member of other companies, Trello helped me to manage all my works through all the companies and also my university life, giving me ways to discuss projects and tasks in a transparent way and in real-time. It keeps everybody informed through task assignments, activity log, and email notifications. Members can easily be added to a board where they are free to vote on ideas contained in the cards.Lists can be fully customized, and collaboration takes place in real time. Trello¿s notification system instantly informs you whenever something important happens. You¿ll get notifications inside the app, and via email, browser, and mobile push. Notifications stay in sync across all your devices. If you have a lot of boards and people in Trello, you can use teams to keep everyone connected. Teams are groups of people and boards, like your company, family, or roommates. You can create as many teams as you wish with your free account. You can create as many boards, cards, and teams as you wish and add as many people as needed. You can choose to make any number of teams or boards public or private. Trello works fast in real-time. When somebody moves a card, it instantly moves on your board, no matter what device you use. You can keep your tab open all day and never have to refresh.

TRELLO- a fantastic colaborative solution for small teams

Last year I had a opportunity to start a small project in development and production of new carbon based products. Fantastic stuff, international cooperation and my role was to organize R&D. After project started restrictions camed: low/no budget for anything outside "pure" R&D and coordination/reporting activities between R&D team - other members (national and international). Ok, we can live with that but it have to be solved in some way. So I started to look for some team/project based solution, and after just one googling TRELLO came to the top. As a first, I was sceptic to some on-line solution (if they are not in-company solution) but after half hour working on mock project I understood all the benefits of this, new concept to me, boards. And they are excellent. Easy to create, customize, define personal protocols, define team/sharing, history, hyperlinks,... fantastic. Concept is simple, "old school", can be done (as it was before) with papers/documents but as on-line is unbeatable. First thing to do is to start a board. In it You can insert lists, and in lists there are cards. Boards is group of lists, and list is group of cards. Usually lists are steps in some process, and cards are all activities that are planed. As You finish some step You just drag needed card from one to other list/step. List can be edited and defined in several ways: members, labels, checklist (my favorite) or adding attachments (photos or links). History (called activities) is visible on te bottom so is simple to see when and who did changes in the lists. Interesting options is to "subscribe" on the list so You get informed when new activities on the list happens. Another thing to mention are add-ons that are not so needed but change /personalize Your work with TRELLO (for example: to include gant diagrams in lists). Implementation was simple and easy and it helped as a lot regarding our communication and cooperation. It is one of best on-line solutions that I use averyday.Simple old concept is redesigned to a new and modern concept. Simplicity, design, user-friendly concept,.... When I use it for my personal projects then is very usefull. When we use it, as international team, then is important part of our job. Simple to use, easy to learn, everything is fantastic. There is a limits of 10 Mb for a free version. This can be solved with links to other clouds so it+s not really a problem.

Trello has changed the way I plan, organize and schedule EVERYTHING

I use this product to organize projects with my clients, to organize trips with my friends, to plan my personal and life projects, to share recipes with my partner... and I'm sure there's other uses I have not yet discovered. The benefits include the ability to easily organize information in a visual and intuitive way, and allow different people to collaborate.Trello is super simple and you could even say fun to use, but it's got some very powerful features/integrations if you dig a little deeper. Although designed for team projects, there's almost no aspect of my life that I can't manage better in some way with a Trello board. And every time I show a non-user one of my Trello boards, or get someone to sign up to collaborate, I find that before too long they are enthusiastically recommending it other people. Additionally, I really like the way the company presents itself - they have a friendly, casual vibe and the tone of their documentation and web site is always fun but respectful. I have a Trello Gold account which is very reasonably priced. and I get a free month every time someone signs up that I have invited. As I'm not using Trello with my clients this has turned out great - I get quite a few free months, but I would recommend the system even if I didn't get any reward for doing so. I like it that much.

I'm a stark raving Trello fan. I use it to manage many aspects of both my work and personal life.

Trello has helped me organize and manage processes and workflows that prior to were much more difficult to manage. From organizing my novel writing notes and character bios, to managing our web content calendar and online product catalog, Trello is flexible and versatile enough to help me get a handle on just about any project.Trello has been a life changer for me, both professionally and personally. There seems to be no limit to what you can do with it. It's hard to describe exactly what Trello does; rather it is better to see what it enables you to do. On a high level, it's a Kanban project management and team collaboration app. But after you add in all the third-party integrations and plugins available, the options are endless. In effect, you can almost use it as a way to build mini-apps for solutioning different areas of your business or personal needs. This is where there are lots of sites that show you use cases of other users.

Easy to learn to use, functional, and does what it says: keeps us organized!

We needed a way to keep track of what had already been done on a project, what still needed to be done, and who was doing it. Trello helped us accomplish that far more effectively than making a simple spreadsheet, as it's always up-to-date and allows us to add notes (and images) to be sure everyone knows what's going on.We love that the free account option is super functional. Lots of software/apps offer free accounts, but you can't do much with them until you upgrade to a paid version... not with Trello! In fact, we tested out three different project management tools that offer free accounts, and Trello was far more useful with it's "basic" offerings than the others. Sure, you get more if you upgrade, but you can still accomplish a lot with a free account. (And that gives you the opportunity to really test it out before buying.) The app helps us stay organized and up-to-date on all of our projects and, importantly, was super easy for everyone on our team to learn to use. We like that we can use Trello via our browser or on company tablets and phones, so that we can update cards anywhere, anytime. Plus, there's an element of humor with the app: we like being able to add gifs to our cards, just for fun. We have yet to have a need to contact customer service, but their product support/update emails have been helpful.
