Pros
First Due has been amazing to work with. Their staff is very responsive and goes above and beyond to quickly answer questions we have.
I would highly recommend to any Fire/PD department to help have a true "live" library of target hazards. The information can be updated on the fly and be immediately available.
They are constantly making improvements. I love the mapping to help me visualize the data.
Cons
Software pulls from Google Maps on the initial alarm, Which is wrong a majority of the time.
You then have to go to the main menu and hunt the call to the get the GIS Alarm. Now when you click for support it just takes you too a list of possible problems or solutions.
Need to add risk analysis for community risk reduction.

LAD Review -- City of alex

Reviewed a month ago

It has been great! I really like that I can turn my notifications off and turn them on right before I go back on duty with in an hour. Previous applications I couldn't do that, this way I know if my unit just went on a call or if they will be do back shortly.

Pros

That we can customize our responses to meet our needs and that it doesn't have to be a generic response because the program is non-customizable.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I really "don't" like about the software... everything seems to be an upgrade from the software we were using.

First Due Size Up

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall First Due has provided a our department with a program that is more efficient then what we have used in the past. The ability to have multiple data points pulled into one program was needed. Completing preplans are simple to do in the field that allows information to be shared quickly through our workflow process. The addition of Community Connect and the information it provides about our residential addresses is extremely valuable to our mission.

Pros

First Due has been easy to integrate into our current operations. The platform via the computer and application are easy to use and teach to our members. This software provides a location for collected information to live and be accessed in a timely manner. The notification and mapping to incidents helps get our member started to the call. The dashboard provides quick tiles that allow responders to quickly identify hazards that can be encountered at the emergency incident.

Cons

Some more customization abilities would be nice to allow the administrator and users the ability to make timely changes not having to rely on the company who is busy with multiple clients.

Issues with incorrect maps.

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

Everything is in one place.

Cons

Software pulls from Google Maps on the initial alarm, Which is wrong a majority of the time. You then have to go to the main menu and hunt the call to the get the GIS Alarm. Now when you click for support it just takes you too a list of possible problems or solutions. No phone number or email. The only way to make contact is by leaving a review and hoping someone contacts you.

Must Have For Any Fire Department

Reviewed 19 days ago

This app improves overall situational awareness for each call, and it also improves overall community safety and reduces call response times. It's very useful for firefighters to read call notes while in the back of a fire engine going to a call, even without access to a CAD. The ability to overlay a vast amount of data onto the map helps tactical decision making.

Pros

Easy to use and fast navigation, preplans, previous call history for a location, hydrant locations, water main sizes, read call notes, and track units via a map.

Cons

Can sometimes be slow to load, so preplan density must be adjusted to only populate on the map when zoomed in close to a building.

Eveerthing for a First Responder

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

This software is all encompassing. It has everything that a first responder would need while en route to an emergency. The ease of use makes it easy to implement to all crews. I would highly recommend to any Fire/PD department to help have a true "live" library of target hazards. The information can be updated on the fly and be immediately available.

Cons

None, anything that we feel is missing, First Due easily develops and implements.
