Gitoryx overview

What is Gitoryx?

Gitoryx is a native desktop Git GUI client for macOS (12+), Windows (10+), and Linux (x86_64), built on a single Tauri codebase that delivers identical features across all three platforms on the same release schedule. The application runs at approximately 12 MB of memory, requires no browser engine, and needs no separate Git for Windows installation. All data remains on the local machine and existing remote Git hosts; no cloud or SaaS deployment is involved. Gitoryx works directly with existing repositories on disk, requiring no migration or re-clone.

The interface centres on a colour-coded, virtualised commit graph with real-time rendering that maintains constant scroll performance regardless of repository size. Core Git workflows are exposed as visual operations: interactive rebase via drag-and-drop (reorder, squash, reword), line-level and hunk-level staging, a built-in 3-way merge conflict editor, Git bisect UI, reflog viewer, Git worktrees management, cherry-pick via drag-and-drop, stash management, patch generation, and changelog generation between tags. Commit signing supports both GPG and SSH. Side-by-side and character-level diffs include a minimap and an image diff viewer. In-app pull request management covers GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab (including self-managed), Bitbucket, and Gitea. Additional tooling includes multi-repo tabs, an integrated terminal, a command palette with fuzzy finder, sprint boundary visualisation, real-time file system watching, GitFlow support, per-profile Git identity and SSH key selection, one-click OAuth connection to GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps, AI-powered commit message generation, and a gitmoji picker.

Gitoryx targets individual developers and software development teams of 5 to 100 members across all industries that use Git for source control. It suits developers ranging from those learning Git to power users who require advanced operations such as bisect, worktrees, and interactive rebase without the command line. Licensing options include a permanent free plan for public and open-source repositories (no account required), a Pro plan available monthly, annually, or as a one-time lifetime purchase ($199) covering both macOS and Windows under a single licence, and a Team plan (5 to 100 seats) with an admin console, one annual invoice, and priority support. A 14-day free trial of the full Pro feature set is available.
