What is LaizyNote?
LaizyNote is an all-in-one business workspace built for freelancers, self-employed professionals, and small teams. It combines time tracking, task management, project management, a full CRM, a shared calendar, notes, and document storage in a single connected application, replacing the typical stack of separate tools.
Core functionality: One-click time tracking linked to clients and projects; task management with subtasks, recurring tasks, and Kanban/list views; project timelines with budget tracking; a full CRM with custom statuses, groups, and activity logs; a shared calendar with recurring events and reminders; rich-text notes and document storage with folder structure.
Business Insights: Time entries, projects, and revenue are automatically calculated into real hourly rates, revenue, and utilization — a live profitability view without manual spreadsheet work.
Workspace architecture: Each user gets a personal workspace plus up to 50 team or client workspaces (Plus plan), with role-based permissions (Owner, Admin, Member, Guest) controlling access per workspace.
AI assistant (Daisy): Built on Mistral AI, a European model. Daisy reads and writes across notes, tasks, projects, contacts, time entries, and calendar on request, with a preview shown before any write action. Not used to train AI models.
Invoicing integration: Billed time and tasks sync directly into invoices via lexware office, with Daisy drafting invoice line items and text from project context.
Deployment & platform: Cloud-based SaaS, delivered as a Progressive Web App — installable on desktop and mobile directly from the browser, with offline support via local caching.
Security & data: Infrastructure hosted entirely on EU servers (Frankfurt). Login protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA Enterprise. Optional client-side encryption for sensitive data via a user-held master key. Automatic backups retained for 30 days, with manual backup available to workspace owners.
LaizyNote is developed and operated by a solo founder based in Hamburg, Germany, who uses the product daily to run his own freelance business.
