Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Lama overview
What is Lama?
Lama is a framework-agnostic AI agent for test automation, available as a desktop app (Mac, Windows, Linux) and Chrome extension. QA engineers and developers describe test scenarios in plain English; the agent navigates a real browser, clicks through application flows, verifies outcomes, and generates complete, native test scripts in Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. Generated code carries no proprietary dependencies and is fully committable to CI pipelines, with no vendor lock-in.
The agent builds a persistent knowledge base of the application across sessions, retaining an understanding of pages, flows, components, and behaviors. This accumulated context improves accuracy and speed over time and eliminates repeated context-setting between sessions. On the Team plan, the knowledge base is shared across all members, so the entire team benefits when one member teaches the agent a new flow. Test suites can be organized by feature, sprint, or priority, and pass/fail results are reviewable within the tool.
Lama integrates into existing QA and project management workflows without replacing them. Test cases sync to TestRail or Xray; tickets are created and linked in Jira, Azure DevOps, or Asana. AI prompts are processed via the vendor's backend using Anthropic as the provider; prompts are not stored and the provider does not train on user data. Code and project files remain on the user's machine. Pricing is credit-based with no mandatory subscription, and seats and integrations scale as the team grows, making the tool suitable for individual QA engineers, collaborative QA teams, and larger organizations requiring security controls and dedicated onboarding.
