Legal Hi Tech Document Management Suite (LHT DMS) - 2026 Pricing, Features, Reviews & Alternatives

LHT DMS is a desktop application for litigation lawyers, for Windows 10 and 11 and for macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon. It was used in a working litigation practice in England and Malaysia before it was offered to other lawyers.

It does two jobs. The first is to collect what has been filed. The lawyer signs in to the court portal from inside the application, and LHT DMS downloads every document filed in his cases, his own and the other side's, from CE-File (England and Wales), EFS (Peninsular Malaysia) and EKSS (Sabah and Sarawak). Each document goes into its case folder, named by its enclosure number or filing sequence and date, unlocked, made searchable by OCR and compressed. Later runs fetch only the new filings.

The second is to prepare the lawyer's own documents. LHT DMS compiles PDF, Word and image files into one bookmarked and paginated court bundle, drafts the index in Word and updates it at a click, writes bundle page references back into Word submissions, skeleton arguments and witness statements, and replaces signed pages in a finished bundle. Folder Manager, the page organiser and the batch tools (OCR, compression, A4 or US Letter, flattening, clearing links and metadata) do the remaining work on a case folder.

Everything runs on the lawyer's own computer. Apart from the portal download, it needs no internet connection. No document is uploaded to the company or to any third party, and it uses no generative AI.

The desktop application is free for all of 2026, and an annual licence per user applies from January 2027. A few basic tools are also available free in the browser at legalhitech.com, where the files likewise stay on the user's computer.
