Market Tracker overview
What is Market Tracker?
Market Tracker is a lead generation and carrier intelligence platform designed for commercial trucking insurance professionals. It provides real time access to federal motor carrier data by monitoring FMCSA publications and combining information from all key public repositories. The system covers a database of four million four hundred thousand USDOT records and consolidates insurance status, safety history and operational signals into a unified view. The solution supports prospecting, underwriting and portfolio monitoring for managing general agents, wholesalers, program carriers and brokers.
Market Tracker derives four distinct lead signals from federal filings. Cancellation leads capture insurer cancellation notices with official effective dates. Lapsed coverage leads identify carriers with active authority but no current bodily injury and property damage filings. New venture leads surface first time authorities that have not yet secured coverage. Renewal date leads estimate policy anniversaries by adding one year to the effective date and can be filtered by time window, state, fleet size and writing insurer. The Carriers module provides a filterable register that accepts USDOT numbers, docket identifiers or company names and refines searches by insurer, domicile state, fleet size, cargo type, operating radius, hazmat authorization, loss risk tier, operational footprint and renewal window. Users can save views with email notifications and export filtered lists to CSV or Excel with support for up to two hundred fifty thousand rows for CSV and fifty thousand rows for Excel.
The carrier file aggregates eleven categories of public data into a detailed profile. It includes census identity, operating authority, verified contact details from the MOTUS registry, current insurance coverage and filing history, safety ratings and BASIC measures, crash records, roadside inspection data, observed operational footprint and vehicle inventory. The platform features an ACORD autofill function that generates pre populated commercial application and vehicle schedule forms based on ACORD one two five and one two nine templates by using federal record fields for identity, addresses, FEIN, firmographics, operating authority, fleet composition and prior coverage. Vehicle schedules derive from observed unit counts and decoded VINs. Narrative sections are composed as underwriters expect to read them and any fields lacking public record data appear flagged as agent input. The Watch List capability allows import of a book of business through pasted USDOT numbers or CSV upload for up to one hundred carriers per seat and conducts daily change detection for insurance lapses, coverage reductions, cancellation filings, insurer switches, authority revocations, new crash entries and renewals. A ninety day renewal pipeline overview and daily email summary report chart changes since initial monitoring.
Market Tracker assigns a transparent loss risk tier ranging from low to severe by combining safety ratings, out of service rates, BASIC violation measures and crash frequency. Contributing factors appear itemized to guide risk assessment. The inspection selection system estimate reconstructs FMCSA’s official algorithm to classify carriers as inspect, optional or pass. Operational footprint mapping shows all states where inspections have occurred, categorizes reach from single state to national and flags mismatches between declared and observed operations. Data sources include FMCSA census, licensing and insurance filings, SAFER and BASIC safety measures, the MCMIS crash repository, roadside inspections and violation records and NHTSA vehicle information. All records undergo cleaning, deduplication, normalization and cross source joining with rolling ingestion and change feed processes. Market Tracker delivers comprehensive carrier intelligence in a subscription that grants seat based access to all modules and features.
