Masto Control overview

What is Masto Control?

Masto Control turns the chain from raw material to finished sale into one system, for businesses that make things in small batches: candle and soap makers, cosmetics and skincare, small food producers, jewellers, and light manufacturing workshops of one to ten people.

Purchasing and materials

Suppliers, purchase orders that move from draft to ordered to delivered, and receipts kept against them. Every delivery becomes its own lot carrying the price paid, the date and an expiry, so two batches of the same fragrance bought months apart stay separate at their own costs. Stock sits across as many warehouses as you need, with transfers between them. Materials measure in grams, kilograms, millilitres, litres, millimetres, centimetres, metres or pieces.

Recipes and costing

A product card holds the bill of materials, a photo and the process notes. Recipes nest, so a component made in-house carries its cost up into whatever it goes into. Each line takes a waste allowance, because production never yields exactly what you weighed out. Labour and overhead sit on the card as named expense types, entered as a fixed amount per unit or a percentage of cost or of price. A composition diagram shows the whole tree on one screen.

Production

Plan a run and the materials are reserved. Complete it and they are written off at the real cost of the lots consumed, oldest first. At any point you can see how many units your stock allows you to build, net of what other planned runs have already reserved. Finished goods are held as lots of their own, each with its production date, expiry, recipe version and the unit cost it genuinely carried. Any lot can be sold or sent back for rework.

Sales and margin

Sales are recorded against a channel. Packaging is defined per channel, since a market stall needs no mailer and a posted order does, and channel commission stays out of cost of goods. The same product can show a different margin depending on where it sold. Etsy orders arrive automatically, match to the product and deduct both finished stock and packaging. A cancelled sale can put the stock back.

Reporting and team

Cost of goods by period, margin by product and inventory valuation, each exportable to Excel. Low-stock alerts by email. Roles for maker, stockkeeper and accountant, with departments and custom permission sets. The interface runs in English, French, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish.

What it does not do

No time-based labour costing, no multi-currency, no public interface for developers, no barcode scanning, no customer invoicing and no production scheduling board.

Getting started

No implementation project and nothing to install. Import materials from Excel, write your recipes, record your first run. Documentation covers every module at docs.mastocontrol.com. Support requests are answered within an hour during business hours, Monday to Friday.

Pricing

The Entry plan is 30 euros a month, or 25 euros billed annually, with one user, unlimited SKUs and warehouses and no cap on orders. Extra seats are 12 euros for Core or 15 euros for Growth. Prices exclude value added tax, which Paddle adds at checkout by country. Every plan has a 14-day trial with full access and no card.
