Orbit is a multi-tenant SaaS platform for running community organisations — sports clubs and associations, schools, gyms, academies, tutoring groups and faith communities. It is used most heavily by Australian basketball clubs, where it handles the club-side operations that competition-management platforms such as PlayHQ leave to volunteers.

Rather than bundling fixed features, Orbit is built around configurable workflows. Administrators design automations on a visual canvas — registration and season rollover, fee collection and reminders, trials and team allocation, incident reporting, working-with-children check expiry — and the platform runs them durably, resuming automatically after outages or long waits for a human approval.

Core modules include a dynamic form builder with versioning and time-bound access windows, a three-tier notification system across in-app and email with quiet hours and per-user preferences, product and membership management with hierarchical tiers and lifecycle states, a schema-driven connector framework for integrating external systems over REST and OAuth, and an AI orchestration layer with versioned prompts, token tracking and quota enforcement.

Orbit models organisations as Planets, their programs and teams as Villages, and their members as Explorers. It is built on .NET and Next.js, runs on Microsoft Azure, and enforces tenant isolation at the database level with full audit trails.
