Pay Application Generator is a free, web-based tool for creating construction applications for payment — the G702/G703-style pay app package a contractor submits to request a progress payment on a fixed-price contract.

It is built for contractors who produce that document every month with no construction ERP behind them: subcontractors, specialty trades, and small to midsize general contractors whose accounting runs in QuickBooks and whose pay apps live in an inherited spreadsheet.

How It Works: Enter your contract sum and schedule of values — typed in, or imported from a spreadsheet you already keep. Record how much of each line item was completed in this billing period, as a dollar amount or a percentage. Add materials stored on site and any approved change orders. Download the finished package.

Every download is complete: a cover application carrying the summary lines and the certification block, plus an itemized continuation sheet listing every schedule-of-values line with scheduled value, work completed previously and this period, stored materials, percent complete, balance to finish, and retainage.

This period's amounts move into the previous-applications column, the amount due becomes a previous certificate, the application number increments, and the next period opens exactly where the last one closed — with no retyping and no chance of the columns drifting out of agreement.
