Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.

PDF Batch Editor overview
What is PDF Batch Editor?
PDF Batch Editor is a desktop application for Windows ten and Windows eleven as well as macOS twelve and later that enables enterprise-scale processing of hundreds of PDF documents in batch operations. The solution addresses complex document workflows by applying consistent modifications, transformations and compliance validations without repetitive manual editing. All operations execute locally on the client machine without file uploads to external servers, supporting sensitive document handling under protocols such as HIPAA, GDPR and other classification standards. Developed by Exis LLC and powered by the Exis.PdfEditor engine, the software supports PDF standards from one point zero through two point zero and requires four gigabytes of RAM at a minimum.
The application provides fourteen operational modules that can be executed individually or chained into multi-step pipelines. The text and image find and replace module supports regex pattern matching, case sensitivity controls and formatting options including bold, underline and strikethrough. The image replacement module scans embedded graphics, presents a visual grid for deduplication and enables bulk logo or graphic updates. Merge operations support per file page ranges, drag-and-drop ordering and pattern based grouping. Split operations include custom page ranges, single-page extraction, interval splitting and bookmark-based extraction for nested outlines. Automated form filling accepts data from comma separated values or spreadsheet formats. Permanent redaction is available for sensitive patterns such as social security numbers, email addresses and user-defined criteria.
Digital signing uses certificate based credentials with visible or invisible placement and timestamp server integration. Optimization profiles balance file size reduction and document fidelity through image downsampling, font subsetting and deduplication. AES two hundred fifty six encryption secures documents with separate open and edit passwords and granular permission settings. Compliance validation against archival standards includes automatic remediation and detailed issue reporting with rule codes. Bates numbering applies sequential stamps with customizable prefixes, digit padding and placement options. File renaming uses chainable literal or pattern matching with live preview. Watermarking supports custom text stamps with placement and appearance controls. The batch pipeline module enables orchestration of any operations into a unified workflow with reorderable steps and saved configurations.
The three-step workflow begins with file loading by dropping individual documents or entire folders, including recursive subfolder scanning and tree-view selection controls. Configuration follows by selecting modules, setting options per file or globally and previewing changes before commitment. A single click initiates processing of all selected files with real-time progress tracking while preserving original folder structures. Local execution ensures high-speed performance without degradation when handling large volumes of PDFs.
The Exis.PdfEditor engine performs direct content stream editing to preserve interactive elements, embedded signatures, fonts and layout integrity rather than reconstructing documents from scratch. The software is distributed as a self-contained installer with bundled runtime components. Trial evaluations impose no subscription requirements or file quantity restrictions. Support is provided by United States based engineers at Exis LLC with typical response times within one business day.
