Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

PDFik overview
What is PDFik?
PDFik is an asynchronous PDF generation API for engineering teams that need reliable page-to-PDF rendering without operating a browser fleet.
HOW IT WORKS
Submit a public URL or raw HTML via POST, receive a job ID immediately, and get an HMAC-signed webhook when the PDF is ready. Polling endpoints exist for environments that cannot receive callbacks. Output is downloaded from a controlled link; generated files are guaranteed deleted within 24 hours.
RENDERING
Sandboxed headless Chromium driven by Playwright, one isolated browser context per job (no shared state between jobs, downloads and popups disabled). Modern CSS, web fonts and JavaScript-heavy pages render pixel-accurate. Authenticated rendering (basic/bearer credentials for URLs behind auth) is available on Pro and above; credentials are attached only to same-origin requests and encrypted end to end while in transit through the queue.
DELIVERY
Webhooks are HMAC-signed and available on every plan, including Free. Failed deliveries are retried automatically with a growing backoff and then parked in a dead-letter queue — never lost silently. A rotation-friendly signing model lets you verify signatures without downtime.
BILLING & LIMITS
Two published meters per plan: rendered PDFs and generated gigabytes, counted separately. Downloads never debit quota. Files up to 150 MB on every plan. Rate limits and concurrency ceilings are documented per plan; the API answers with RFC 7807 problem details and stable error codes.
TEST MODE
Pass "test": true to run the full pipeline — statuses, webhooks, signatures, downloads — without spending quota. A no-account sandbox on the homepage performs a real render before you sign up.
SECURITY
Per-job browser isolation with Chromium's sandbox enabled; SSRF protection blocks private networks, cloud metadata endpoints and file:// URLs at request and render time; API keys are hashed at rest and support IP allowlists; per-job credentials are AES-256-GCM encrypted; TLS everywhere; optional TOTP two-factor authentication on the dashboard; a public status page with live probes.
INTEGRATION
Official typed SDKs for JavaScript/TypeScript (npm), Python (PyPI) and Java (Maven Central), a public OpenAPI specification for the generation endpoints, and copy-paste curl quickstarts.
PLANS
Free: 100 PDFs and 0.5 GB per month — card verified, never charged. Starter $29/mo (5,000 PDFs / 10 GB), Pro $99/mo (50,000 / 50 GB), Business $449/mo (500,000 / 300 GB, volume add-on $0.55/GB). About 20% off on annual billing; 99.5% SLA on all paid tiers.
