How it works

Connect GitLab and Slack over OAuth, map each GitLab project to a Slack channel (or set one default channel for everything), and you're live. PRFlow listens to GitLab webhooks and posts a single, self-updating message per MR. No notification spam.

Core functionality

One message per MR that updates in place - opened, updated, approved, unapproved, merged, and closed all update the original Slack message instead of stacking new ones.

Live CI/CD pipeline status: pass / fail / running is reflected directly on the MR notification, so you know if a build is green without leaving Slack.

Review comments in Slack threads - GitLab review comments post as threaded replies under the parent MR message, and edits update the existing thread (with an "edited" indicator) rather than duplicating.

Reviewer awareness - requested reviewers are surfaced so review requests don't get missed.

Draft-aware - draft MRs stay quiet until they're ready, keeping channels signal-heavy.

Per-project channel routing - send each repository's activity exactly where its team is, with a default channel as fallback.

Security & data handling

PRFlow is built to request the minimum it needs. It reads MR metadata only - it never requests or accesses your source code. All traffic is encrypted with TLS in transit and data is encrypted at rest (AES-256); OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are never logged. Incoming GitLab webhooks are signature-verified.
