RankX AI tracks how five AI assistants describe your brand, diagnoses why, and publishes the fix. It covers answer engine optimization, generative engine optimization and conventional Google rank tracking from one account.

How tracking works

Tracked prompts run on a nightly job across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity. Each response is parsed on four measures: whether the brand was named, its position in the running order, sentiment at phrase level, and the sources the assistant cited. Mention rates are stored per assistant and never averaged into a composite, since a brand can lead on one platform and be absent from another. Responses that cannot be parsed are recorded as unknown rather than counted as a miss, so the reported figure is a share of answers actually analysed.

Google AI Overviews is treated as a separate surface. Detection runs alongside each rank check, by market and device, and records whether your domain appeared among the cited sources.

Google rank tracking by device and market. A crawler based site audit scoring technical health and AI readiness separately, with JavaScript rendering from the second tier. Keyword research and topic clustering. AI Shopping tracking for product recommendations on ChatGPT Shopping and Google AI Mode, with sponsored placements counted apart from organic. Integrations and API

Google Search Console and Google Analytics connect for rankings, indexing and traffic attribution. WordPress and WooCommerce connect for publishing and product data.

RankX AI also runs a Model Context Protocol server at app.rankxai.com/api/mcp exposing 68 tools covering visibility, rankings, audits, keyword research and publishing. Any MCP client works, including Claude, Cursor and n8n. Authentication is OAuth 2.1 with scoped permissions, so a connected client can read without holding write or spend rights unless granted. API tokens cover anything outside MCP.

Metering and account structure

Work is metered in credits at published per action rates rather than opaque quotas. There is no automatic overage: when an allowance is exhausted, credit consuming actions pause until renewal instead of generating a charge. Accounts run on two tracks. Brands hold one credit pool across their own sites. Agencies get isolated client workspaces, per client credit budgets, and white label domain and sending from the entry tier.
