Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Screen2Doc overview
What is Screen2Doc?
Screen2Doc is a professional quality assurance documentation application for Windows that enables technical teams to capture, annotate, and export structured test documentation reports. The application operates fully offline and processes all data locally, ensuring strict data privacy and security. The toolkit supports systematic documentation workflows for QA professionals, software testers, and technical documentation specialists in regulated industries or restricted connectivity environments.
The application provides a three-stage documentation workflow beginning with screenshot capture capabilities that support fullscreen, active window, and custom region selection with pixel-perfect precision. Global keyboard shortcuts facilitate hands-free capture and configurable delay timers enable capture of transient interface elements such as dropdown menus and tooltips. An integrated dark-themed image editor includes annotation tools such as arrows, rectangles, ellipses, freehand drawing, and rotatable text elements, with advanced editing options including blur and crop functionality, zoom and pan controls, grid overlay, and undo-redo history.
The template-based export system generates DOCX, PDF, and RTF reports with customizable Word templates that use dynamic anchor tokens to automatically insert content at export time. Anchor tokens support batch screenshot insertion, indexed notes, personal signature images, cryptographic hash values, and conditional content blocks. Advanced modules enable AES two hundred fifty-six cipher block chaining encryption with HMAC SHA two hundred fifty-six integrity verification, file comparison with text diff and syntax highlighting, hex view, image pixel comparison, folder synchronization, three-way merge, and HTML export of diff results. Cryptographic hashing supports SHA one, MD five, and SHA two hundred fifty-six algorithms with drag-and-drop file selection, hash verification, and export of hash values in CSV and JSON formats.
Additional features include OCR text recognition using the Tesseract version five engine for English language extraction, personal signature management with a drawing canvas and import from image files, drag-and-drop flowchart editor for visual workflow diagrams, and a rich text notes system with formatting, categorization, and search capabilities. Four visual themes are available including light, dark, metallic chrome gradients, and dark chrome options. The software is distributed through the Microsoft Store for Windows ten and Windows eleven systems without external integrations, telemetry, analytics, or account requirements.
