SFTP.cloud is a managed file transfer service that puts an internet-facing endpoint in front of storage you already own, without taking custody of your files.

HOW IT WORKS

You deploy a Storage Connector inside your own environment, next to your storage. The connector authenticates to that storage using an identity you create and scope, and that identity never leaves your account. Rather than listening for connections, the connector opens a single outbound TLS session to our relay. We operate the public endpoint, the protocol implementations, the certificates and the availability. Partner traffic arrives at the relay, travels down the connection the connector already established, and reaches your storage from inside your own network.

Because nothing on your side listens, there is no inbound firewall rule and no DMZ change to request. Because the connector holds the storage credentials, we have nothing to lose in a breach and nothing to produce under legal process.

PROTOCOLS

SFTP, FTPS, FTPES and HTTPS. The partner who requires a specific protocol and the colleague who wants a browser upload page are served by the same account, with no additional per-protocol charge.

STORAGE TARGETS

AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage, MinIO and other S3-compatible object stores, on-premises filesystems, and an existing SFTP server you are not ready to retire.

Multiple connectors, including connectors in different geographic locations, can mount as virtual folders inside a single user namespace. A partner connecting once sees one directory tree rather than several disconnected systems. Cross-connector and cross-VFS transfers are managed server side and survive client logout.

INTEGRITY

Every transfer is verified twice: a rolling hash computed per buffer in flight, and a full file hash verified on landing.

AUDIT TRAIL

Operations are written to a tamper-evident, dual signed audit trail in the sftp.cloud/log-evidence/v1 format. Each entry is signed with our key and countersigned on your connector with a key we never hold, and each entry hashes the one before it. Altering any record invalidates the rest of the chain, and the trail can be verified offline rather than relying on us to vouch for our own logs.

CRYPTOGRAPHY

Hybrid post-quantum key exchange on every protocol rather than only SFTP: mlkem768x25519-sha256 for SSH, and X25519MLKEM768 for TLS. Internal control and data planes use mutually authenticated TLS. Worth noting that FIPS 140-3 validation does not imply quantum resistance, because it validates classical algorithms.
