Treat overview

What is Treat?

Treat is a cloud-based, standalone ePrescribing solution that allows medical practitioners to streamline clinical operations by sending electronic prescriptions.

With Treat, clinics can store patient details in a centralized database and utilize the search functionality to retrieve specific files from medical records. With the built-in drug library, users can evaluate prescriptions for drug/drug and drug/allergy interactions. Preview suggested prescriptions to edit the quantity, dose, and consumption frequency, as well as add critical notes for pharmacists.

Treat offers an identity-proofing module to verify the legitimacy of patients via two-factor authentication, minimizing the risk of illegal exploitation of sensitive data. Treat is EPCS certified to meet all federal and state requirements and lets clinicians create prescriptions for Schedule II-V controlled and non-controlled substances.

“The cost is billed monthly and is reasonable-- we have a very small budget in our tiny University-based Student Health Center, so that was a key factor in our decision.”

Cons
“I think they're having bandwidth issues but there's nothing as frustrating as having to wait hours to submit a prescription (after hours) and they have zero real time support. ”

“The main job function is not user-friendly, cannot make changes to existing prescriptions such as quantity, and time change, have to write a completely new prescription, and then every prescription ever written remains on the client list and there is no way to delete them or archive them so you have to scroll through them to make sure you are writing new script, obviously designed by people who have never prescribed anything or ever spoken to anyone who prescribes medications because function and use is poor and difficult to use”

“Frequent error messages and inability to submit prescriptions during busy time. ”
