Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

WipeCert overview
What is WipeCert?
WipeCert is data erasure software for IT teams, managed service providers and IT asset disposition companies that have to prove a drive was sanitized, not just deleted.
Every wipe ends in a digitally signed PDF certificate with a QR code. The certificate records the device, the drive and its serial number, the erasure method, the NIST 800-88 level that method reaches (Clear or Purge), start and end time, and the verification result. Anyone can check a certificate on a public page at wipecert.com with no account, login or software install, so a client or an auditor can confirm it on their own.
WipeCert works on Windows, macOS and Linux machines, on x64 and ARM64. There are four ways to start a wipe: the desktop agent on a running machine, a bootable USB stick or ISO for machines on the bench, PXE network boot to clear a whole bench at once, and Microsoft Intune for devices you already manage, including a remote bare-metal wipe.
Drive erasure uses the method that suits each drive: ATA Secure Erase, ATA Sanitize, NVMe Sanitize, TCG Opal PSID revert, eMMC erase, cryptographic erase or multi-pass overwrite. WipeCert recommends a method from the drive it detects and the operator confirms it before the wipe runs. Methods map to NIST 800-88 Clear or Purge, or to DoD 5220.22-M, and the certificate names the one that was used.
For Microsoft Intune, WipeCert connects to your Entra ID tenant, lists your managed devices and sends the wipe from inside your tenant. When the wipe completes, a certificate is issued automatically. A remote wipe on a BitLocker-encrypted device is certified as NIST 800-88 Purge; without full-disk encryption it is certified as Clear. For a full-disk erase on those devices, Intune can also push WipeCert's bare-metal erase, which reboots the device into the WipeCert erase environment and ends in the same certificate.
The dashboard shows devices, live job progress and a full audit log, with team roles for admins, operators and viewers. Professional and higher plans add REST API access and webhook events. Business and higher plans add PXE network boot and certificates carrying your own logo and brand color.
Pricing is flat and published, billed monthly or annually. You start with 2 free wipes and no credit card.
